swisstrader
My fitter did a little teaser fitting with having me take my putter and lining it up with the hole from about 10 feet, then shot a laser from my putter to the hole. To my shock, I was a good 4-6 inches right of the target and I consider myself a very decent putter. Very impressed with what I saw in terms of the fitting process but not quite sure I want to take the plunge for about $550. Anyone go through the Edel putter fitting or own an Edel? RIduffer
Did the fitting, didn't like the putters. Had one made by someone else that marched the spec.
swisstrader
Did the fitting, didn't like the putters. Had one made by someone else that marched the spec. I would agree that the putters are not anything stunning, but they REALLY get the job done. I got over the not so sexy looks after I started dropping more than my fair share. Had a big member/member tournament last weekend and we won it. I would credit my Edel putter for most of the hole that were halved or that we won. Interested in where you got the putter made and how they could recreate the exact same specs. Edited July 21, 2012 by swisstrader
idrive
Congrats on the win!!! No matter who's putter you're using or how well it fits you, you're still the one pulling the trigger, they don't go in by themselves. Do you think the confidence level is up with a Putter you know fits you right? Soooooo.... I guess you won't be needing the Miura anymore. :)

I am guessing the Edel has easily shaved 2-3 strokes off my game which is HUGE! Miura up for sale as sad as that is in next couple weeks. The specs are loft, lie, length and weight. The other stuff like a round grip, no sight lines and deeper body are not necessarily a spec to me, but rather a design choice. The other thing that turned me off was that my spec'd weight was on the upper edge of what they make and the fitter was "hesitant" to recommended the loft that worked best for me. As to custom putter makers, I know he isn't JDM, but I have gotten a couple of putters from from Slighter Golf. He does great work is is a nice guy to boot. Congrats on your victory Swisstrader.
