Hi all, great forum which have been browsing for a while and decided to join. I am after a little help as I have been offered a set of g field nc1 irons and wanted to know a little bit more about them. My main concern is the size or blade length and forgiveness, I play off 8 and have 4 sets of irons, cg7 tours, callaway 09 x forged, bridgestone j36 combos and bridgestone later type professional weapons and prefer the slightly larger size of the callaways and professional weapons(ideal size for me) question is, how do the nc1's compare in size and forgiveness to these, thanks for your help.

IMO,

Excellent irons

I would consider them midsize to compact "players" cavity backs. Size wise, very

similar to the irons you've listed. They are not game improvement irons.

Probably most like the Callaways

Thanks for the reply, I would be buying them blind and did not want them to be any smaller than the j36, hopefully a little bigger as the j36 are the same size as my friends Nike vr blade irons. The callaways size are just right to my eye and are around 78mm blade length. How do you think they would compared to x forged in forgiveness as they seem to have a large cavity.

hey, let me know how you like the nc1 irons. i still have a set myself. i don't find them difficult to hit at all. while not large and a super game improvement club, it still has forgiveness. i wouldn't call it a real small or too compact at all. i still get them out time to time. still love the look of them.

btw, how did you stumble across these? haven't seen or heard much in awhile about them, but when i got mine, they really got a lot of talk here.
