RIduffer
I have this head that I traded for, Kasco e340, and need to swap out the existing shaft. Have a Crazy Boron in SX that I am going to save for a different head I traded for as I am told it is a low launcher, even at 11*. Based on the advice of the resident, has hit everything guru, Quadra and Kasco go together like US PGA pros and choking… But which flex, weight, model???? Techno, Max WBQ, FEX Proto... Swing speed is ~108 MPH some faster, topping in at ~115 some slower at ~104. Depends on time, day when in the round, etc... Don't think I am an overly aggressive swinger, but have long arms and can generate decent speed. Have used the P9003 in couple of heads with decent success, just cut one down to put into a Kamui 3wd. Have another in a Miura 390 head, that resides in So Cal so it doesn't get a lot of play, and get along with it quite nicely. However, need to stay on top of it or it fades/leaks right on me. Thanks, RIDuffer
MoreBeerBetterGolf
From all the research I've done it basically is a launch height and spin matter. The techno composite is going to be a higher launching max carry shaft whereas the other 2 are higher swing speed low launching control shafts. Interesting to see what Tario has to say. My gut feeling is that the Max WBQ is basically the replacement for the Proto as they seem to overlap heavily.
gocchin
there is no "techno" model, the comany's name is Quadra Composite Techno but Quadra for short. The FEX is simply the standard model. Steve I think you might find the original FEX a bit soft and opt for the Proto or WBQ. The WBQ has had a lot of design changes compared to the other two models, such as a new weave pattern to reinforce stability and the metal fiber tip section. The balance of the shaft is also shifted slightly towards the butt allowing for the use of heavier heads.
RIduffer
So the Kasco is definitely not a heavy head, but have also been thinking that I'd like to try a Yamaha. Maybe when the '13s come out. Not sure about the average weight of the Yamaha Tour driver heads either... So if you we're picking a shaft that would be used in both of those heads which would it be, the Proto or the WBQ? Also, SX or X? Would probably opt for the
