I've got a set of old clubs I want to grind on as an experiment. What equipment do I need? How do you remove the chrome?

I'm aware of the potential weight loss, but I just want to give it a whirl. Can you help me?

From what I understand, removing chrome is a tough process. The stuff you need to remove it is very toxic. You have to dip the heads in it and the chrome comes off. You will need a professional to do that. As far as the grinding goes, im no help.

I did a little grinding on my lob wedge not to long ago to get some heel relief. All I had was a bench grinder. Good luck

Removing chrome isnt something you wanna do yourself, it is pretty dificult to do without the right tools and you will eat the metal.

As far as grinding, dont use a bench grinder, use a belt sander with various grades of paper...you can control your cuts much better with a greater margin for error. You might want to get a bounce gauge if that is something pertinent to you.
