Anyone put FW shafts in Rescue's?

Thinking about a Fubuki made for Royal Collection that's In a RC 3 wood.

Want to try it in a RC TRC 17*

Isn't the tip size different on rescues comparing to fw?

I was just emailing with Quadra on this. Interesting that for the Egg I+ 19*, they recommend that their FW shafts do NOT require tipping for the 19* and then 0.5 inch for 21* etc. I'm getting along well with Quadra shafts and am toying with the idea of a FEX FW shaft to replace the Crazy Super LIght iron shaft in my Egg I+.

I have butt cut and trimmed for FW lofts to do it... Using GD Tour AD EV 7x in a pair of ONOFF utilities to great success. Just ask Potuna..

Part of the problem.... This tip size thing is out of control. One uses 370 another 350....

I have a "hybrid" Fubuki shaft to install in a RC. The shaft is 370 and the RC is 350.

A 335 can be shimmed to use in a 350 but you really shouldn't reduced the 370 to fit

the 350.

I'm going to try the Fubuki FW shaft. It's 335 but can be shimmed to fit the 350.. on

the other hand I have a GD AD EV sitting here.... hhhmmmmmm

For sure that works for you, I do think the right hybrid shaft from the start is the way to go.

You can also bore out the hosel... Shouldn't have any impact on the head performance...

I played a Fubuki in an Adams Super XTD, they play loose to flex by a decent amount. At least the one that came with the head did. Didn't pay attention whether it was an OEM Fubuki or real.

I was trying to find a use for the AD EV as I did not get along with it in any FW or driver I tried it in. So it was an experiment that turned out well.

If you already like the EV in other stuff and also already have the Fubuki, I would start with the Fubuki. If however you are like me and don't get along with the EV and don't care if the experiment goes awry then have some fun. I absolutely love my ONOFFs with the butt cut EV.

On the Crazy UT side, I have an X flex and a couple of S flexes. Not a fan of the UT shaft from Crazy. Can pound the crap out the FW80 and Sigma 50 FW but not the UTs. Prefer the QFE to the Crazy, but like the Attas Hy most out of the hybrid shafts I have played...
