Steals
Hi Guys, I'm thinking very seriously about taking the plunge and getting a new driver / shaft combo, but before I do I'd really like to get my swing speed measured (as I'm going to be buying a Japanese club online). I'm in Sydney Australia. All I know about my swing speed is that when I was in Japan I was trialling irons. I purchased the 2010 XXIO irons, but in the process of fitting went right through the spectrum until I hit stiff steel shafts and that is what I have now. Eca
Hiya Steals. Probably visit Drummond or golf mart & get a swing speed reading. Then describe your swing and perhaps 7iron distance here or email Tario and you will get some good advice. There's so much great gear & combo here.. Have fun shopping :) -E
hardboiled
Maybe visit a fitter? Swing speed is just one thing to consider, but transition, launch, spin are important as well.
Duffer19
What drivers/shafts/flex were you using to get your '5' handicap?
Steals
I was using a Ping Rapture V2 10.5 with a Motore Speeder VC 7.0 XStiff But I recently opted back to a 10.5 Cobra S2 stock shaft in Stiff. I feel I hit this club better. I hit my seven iron very consistently 150 metres with NS Pro 950GH shafts in stiff, but really struggle to get the drives out there. Maybe around 215m on average, 270 when I get it right though. I'm just having a heck of a problem finding a fitter in Sydney. Drummond may do it I guess.
