Petethepilot
Hi All, bought a Fourteen Hi610H Ute of Supo recently. Great club although a feel I need to adjust the lie angle on it. Has anyone had experience with bending JDM Utes (I need it 2 to 3* flater than standard.) thanks, Pete
idrive
Not sure if that is forged or cast. Either way it can be bent. Forged is just much easier than cast. A good club builder should not have any problem. Only issue when bending past 2* it's possible the chrome could show a bit of a crinkle in the finish. Chances are slim but just as a heads up. FrankThong
From what I'm told, woods are not 'bendable'. I'm assuming an ute has the same construction as a wood, not an iron.
coops1967
Googled that Fourteen Ute, and looks like same idea as my Epon 901... and my Epon has been bent 2 degrees up... and then 3 degrees down again, no problem whatsoever. It's a big advantage over modern hybrids.
Spoon
If the hosel is metal it can be done. Easier fir driving iron utes as the lie angle machines can accept it Trad utes require different attachment setups If is 9o1 esque it can be done! chiromikey
typically woods or wood style utes need to have a mold made to hold them properly for bending. one of the problems bending jdm heads is that the exclusivity prevents nearly anyone from making a mold.
