Romaro Scooner Putter

Hi guys, anyone has first hand experience with this putter? The literature online is scarce and other than just the usual specs, I'm not able to find out anything more. Basically, I'm a nouveau mallet kinda guy. It all started with the Futura, found it too light so moved to the Red-X. After a while, felt that's too light as well and now on the Golo with added weights but thought it looks too chunky.

Love the looks of the Scooner Type-2; its shape and shaft joint, matte black finish, 1 simple white sight line is exactly what I would order if I were to custom a putter. With an over 500g head, I feel like I've hit the jackpot!

BUT BUT BUT the resin insert is a turn-off. I like milled face. Will accept inserts of the nickel variant. But TPU? How deflatingly limp. If it feels anything like the Odyssey, yuck (know people who love and putt like the devil with it, but not for me). I need the noticeable feedback of impact, like the positive club response I get when I hit a good shot. And also, how is it balanced?

So, anyone with any additional info for me would be most gratefully welcomed. ?

What about the also-heavy milled barque?

Ah yes. The shape and matte black finish appeal to me far more. If the Scooner had the same face, it'd be perfect.

I've tried both the Barque and the Scooner. I agree with the insert being "yuck" LOL. I actually like a bit more crisp feel with the putter and the inset felt a bit too soft for my taste. The Barque has a feel that's on the firm side which I like. It also has a good, heavy weight to it.

That's the news I most dreaded about the Scooner. Sigh. So promising.

I don't like the shape and color of the Barque. No chance if it can't get past the eyeball test. :(
