Lefty JBeam 435ii Hi Cor Build

Hey guys, thinking about building a "Cleveland Black driver on Steroids" using the new lefty JBeam 435ii Hi Cor as my starting point. I know I won't be able to get it as light as the 265 gram Cleveland Black, but I would like to keep the entire club below 290 grams at a 46" length. Basically I want a howitzer that can turn my 100 mph swing speed into a 300 yard drive.

Shaft pairings I am considering:

- Bamvoo Lite (49 g)

- Crazy Royal Decoration (49 g)

- Crazy RD Athlete (52 g)

- Quadra FEX 55 (57.5 g)

While accuracy is important, distance is my top priority. Any suggestions regarding these shafts would be greatly appreciated. Also, does anyone know of a good light grip I can use? I was thinking the Elite 38.

Thanks!

At 46" you would use around a 192g head which is the lightest.

The RoyDeco installed drops a couple of grams when butt trimed to length so thats around 46-47g.

Elite 38 is definitely a choice as is those crazy ultralight winn grips around 25g.

This would bring your total weight down but the swing weight would jump up 3-4 points.

You would be well under 290g even with the Elite 38.

Keep in mind though, ultralights and soft shafts are prone to control issues with aggressive swings.

Timing becomes more crucial.

it is all about the head meeting the ball at the right time,

I would go for one of the RoyDeco prototypes.

They were made with a bit more control in mind and a slightly lower launch as soft and light shafts tend to launch high.
