driverhead
Okay, I finally got the new PRGR 2013 EGG Utilities this week and put them into play on my home course yesterday. I got the 4 and 5 with the stock M-43 shaft. I am a big fan of the PRGR EGG lineup. I have had 3 generations of EGG fws, and the 2011 EGG 4 5 and 6 utilities and also the EGG irons (that helped me play thru an elbow injury 2 years ago. For those that had the previous EGG UTILITIES and might not jump to the new ones as from the surface the overall head shape looks very similar and visually the only major difference is the addition of the WEIGHT on the back of the club.... Well as an EGG fan I will say this... The new EGG utilities have the biggest improvement of any product line of any club I have ever tried. (yeah Ive tried quite a few). In addition to the rear weight (that helps substantially) the main feature that wowed me big time yesterday is how explosive and forgiving the face is. The face is very thin and if you look carefully at the front of the cavity behind the face you can see a hollow chamber with a supporting wall. This is where the big improvement is. The entire face is a sweet spot. I was hitting the 21 degree 4 around 220 - 230 yards and the 5 195 to 210. A good ten yard pickup over the previous models. The problem is now I have a yardage gap and will order the 25 degree 6. The one main issue I had with the original EGG utilites was that although they were easy to play and elevate the ball, they were not the best wind clubs, as it was hard to hit a lower controlled shot. No so with the new 2013 line. I moved the ball a few inches back in my stance and A nice controlled mid draw was the result. Bottom line.. I could not have asked more of a club for an initial round. akapur
I also put into play this week the 21 degree Egg Ut. After two rounds of play I am very pleased in the results. Extremely easy to hit. The ball travels on a mid trajectory with easy. Hitting out of the rough was no problem with only minimal distance loss. This club is as forgiving as the Romaro UT that I love and rely on heavily. I did not have the previous version of the Egg UT so can not comment on the differences, but can say this is one good Utility.

freehb04
I have had the previous versions in my bag for well over a year (3&5) & I don't like the sound either at impact or as the club is traveling through the air...can't argue with the results though...glad to hear they're a little lower launch...I keep telling myself I'm to good a player but they're still here...maybe need to try the new ones...
