wmclarenf1
How's it against the old loft for loft? If there is an increase in distance, is that a consistent increase round after round after round? Also, how does it stack up against the RomaRo Type R UT? Thanks. akapur
Art I have the new Egg UT in the 21 degree head with the M43 shaft. I didn't have the old version of this UT, however I do have and use the Romaro UT 18. The Egg is very nice good solid sound at impact nice and crisp. Distance wise it is long. Ball flight is mid, played this week in a strong headwind, the Egg UT was a life saver on the longer par 4's as the wind did not effect distance the ball just cut through it. The Romaro is my favorite UT that I have ever played, it is long and very forgiving, ridiculously easy to hit. The Egg I feel maybe on par with it. I think if I had gotten the lower loft version it would easily be as long as the Romaro. The Egg UT complements the new Egg FW which I have in a 15 degree head. PM me if you want more specifics. Duffer19
Hi A, Taylormade SLDR has a 17* UT. You can get the Japanese spec model and tell yourself that its still JDM.

I Ash, thanks for chiming in. I really hoping that it can be longer than the previous I+ with the same forgiveness. Have dropped driverhead a PM to ask more about his 10 yard pickup against his old egg so we'll see how that goes.... How's the Machine? I've been really anti-TM for the longest time. Hate their every 3 month release in a different color. Find it insulting LOL.
tokidoki1986
Good info, I'm try to fill my bag with one more UT and was hesitated between Romaro and the new Egg as well.

Well, with the previous EGG, you can;t go wrong. Seems like the new Egg is even better so that appears to be a good bet. Just trying to find out if the new Egg loft for loft is indeed consistently longer than the previous EGG and if the Type R UT 18* is longer despite being 1* stronger. Many other stronger lofted UTs I have tried have fallen to my Egg.
