Posted November 3, 201311 yr Since I am never satisfied with giving up the search of beauty, forgiveness, forged feel, sleek design, etc, these caught my eye. Couple comments on plastic-looking in the back seem a deterrent, but anyone have thoughts on distance, feel, forgiveness, etc? I am gaming MP-64s and would love to know how those compare to the Dot1/Dot2/Iron Proto irons. Edited November 3, 201311 yr by mpbachman
November 4, 201311 yr HI, not sure if you;re referring to the Crazy Protos I reviewed recently but if yes, I still think they are great.
November 5, 201311 yr Author Oh, wow, yes, those were one set I was looking at and you made it much more tempting ;)
November 5, 201311 yr I have the Dot-one (the silver plastic in the back). From a game perspective, they are really nice. Good feel and forgiving but without giving up distance. However I have to admit the plastic in the back looks cheap; and they are not a looker at all.... such as true that after a 5~6 months I also got the muscle back Crazy set; which is simply fantastic and are gorgeous!!! Stated here before: I want to be buried with them! The muscle back is less forgiving, small head but not that difficult to hit, it has more distance and you can shape shots. I love the 3 iron in this set. So I basically maintain the two and no interest in changing anytime in the future. The Dot-One I usually game in China where caddies are rough with the equipment, while the muscle back I game in Hong Kong or when I travel across the region. I hope it helps.
