It's weird how things pan out.

I had a custom driver built by crazy that had an 8.2 LS Noir - I pulled the shaft and put it in 9.5 Ryoma head (first edition) - lovely combo. So I decided to try same shaft in 7.4 flex in my new Epon 3 Wood head..... wow - mega combo and long. What's nice is that now both my driver and 3 wood have the same feel.

The endless search for the perfect driver continues though! Thinking of trying the 9.5 Ryoma second edition with 8.2 flex or even stiffer....!

I had a Quadra Proto 65X in the Maxima V-Type for a little while this past season. The head itself is very easy and the stiffer shaft really helps the flight stay down while preserving the remaining characteristics of the head. Had originally put a WBQ 75SX in it and was a tad too high, the LS Noir should be a great combo for it. Good luck with the experiment...
