I have been working on this on and off a while...

a LONG while ago...years....saw Hoikaido grind on a set of Mizuno irons...

I thought..how about do it on wedges...

after couple of tried...playing around different angle combination and end up very low bounce...which is no so good...

because I have to file a big chunk of meat off chamber to make the surface flat....

anyway, depending on the bounce that the raw edge head comes with...I finally got 8 deg bounce out off 12 deg raw bounce...

the result is not bad...

2 tier bounce, the front around 24-26 deg and back tier around 6-8 deg...

tried it on bunker, truf, muddy ground...the performance is quite nice...significantly promoting ball contact feedback..

the sharp front edge can really get under the ball.....

the only drop back is, because the back area bounce is low...so decent control skill of wedge is needed..

the process takes time and concentration...

because I can't find a way to do the angle properly on grinder...

so all angles are hand filed to the rough shape then high # grind then scotch polished on the grinder....

below is photos of progression....
