Shankopotamus
Hey, gang. When I go demo clubs at my local big box store, they sometimes have this clear tape/film over the front half of the crown of the drivers. It protects against pop-up marks and such. I've also seem clear putter tape on the sole of putters to guard against severe scratching. Does anyone know where I can get these things? I've asked the employees at these big box stores, but nobody has helped thus far.

robbie
im not sure if this would work but i have noticed that smart phone protectors for screens are amazingly cheap on ebay...you can get a Matte screen protector for a samsung Note2 for about 50 cents a cover when you buy 6....i would use this to protect the crown but you will have to cut to size. Its a good product at a cheap price !
Bill3508
I wouldnt mind having something like that sometime. I do wax all my drivers and woods using auto wax and it seems to really help to prevent scratches and keep things looking new. I've been doing that for years and it works. I normally don't use my nice drivers though if my swing is being unruly. Edited February 5, 2014 by Bill3508
Spoon
that would be a good idea on our expensive putters. never mind driver heads as i don't sky anymore:( be wary though when a friend asks to try your clubs!
Shankopotamus
Well that's mostly what I'm concerned about. Handing over fine and expensive JDM equipment for my neighbor to try out always makes me a little nervous.

Bill3508
Dont let anyone hit your clubs that isnt a good ball striker. Pretty simple and they usually understand.
