I just bought Epon 503 irons and they are just great. Makes me now think about JDM drivers, but this I have real limited understanding of the market and brands. Right now I play a 9* Wishon 919thi with 44.5" shaft which is great but it's a pretty high ball hitting driver. It's very forgiving and has a great feel/sound at impact. I am not an adjustable head guy. I have a mid -high 80's ss, and play to a 7 but from shorter tees (6000), so I make decent contact. I think a more piercing ball flight and rollout would end up a little longer, but in the rough more often, which I am willing to take as a tradeoff.

Any thoughts about what to look at and why would be most appreciated.

I am using Romaro HX460 Gold 10.5*, very forgiving and LONG! You can also take a look at the new Romaro Type R Driver, heard it is very good.

BTW, just wondering what shaft did you fit on the Epon 503 iron?

It's limited. There seem to be a few guys here and there and in the OC. This site is outstanding and you the golfers here are amazing when it comes to help.

It's clearly a group of passionate golfers and equipment lovers posting here.

How did you choose you driver? Word of mouth, or...? Can you mention these few fitters in greater LA area, or is that inappropriate for the site host?

Has anyone played Epon 460 zr? If so, how does it play? Forgiveness? Launch angle, etc?

Pear shape and somewhat deep face head. The face is soft but not mushy soft. I would probably equate the feel is somewhat between Ryoma D1 and Yamaha. It is definitely not unforgiving but it is also not a point and shot like the last Epon EMS. I find it mid launch and one of the classic that can still compete with all the new drivers out there.
