Both are very forgiving, easy to launch with great feel off the face, 460HX Gold provides greater distance since it is HiCor. Type R has a slightly smaller head comparing the two (460cc vs. 455cc) and it is not as "thick", I can tee the ball lower but still create a high launch. Somehow I get more consistency from the Type R than the 460 Gold.

Dear R-Slut, how are you? (bought the 9.5° Romaro head HX gold from you, a year ago)

Let us know what you think, you THE Romaro expert!

Bluejays, there is a guy looking for your driver in the want to buy section of this forum....

I guess the gold is longer, can you tell me +/- by how much?

How r u, 000AA, my dear friend!

Nice to see u posting! haha

Hope the driver is serving you well.

I actually bought the new 455LX and eventually i swapped it back to the 460HX gold.

What can i say

The 460HX, though Hi-Cor, feels more solid and has a higher launch because its hi-cor face

As bluejays correctly pointed out, the 455LX has a shallower face vs the deeper face of the 460HX.

As such, both drivers attract different golfers.

Alas, my personal experience is the 460HX is still the furthers, because its Higher launch and Hi-cor. Need to pair with a low launch shaft

Comparing the 460HX Black vs the 455LX, i felt very small difference in distance between the 2. But i also felt the 460HX Black has a more solid feel on impact compared to the somewhat "hollow" feel of the 455LX.

Overall, i will favour the 460x black or gold over the 455LX, simply because i cannot play shallow face drivers. There seem to be very little improvement on the 455LX over the 460HX black in terms of distance.

All in all, both are great distance drivers and will surely bring you to places you have never been before on the golf course

Anyway, the 460HX black is no more in stock at RomaRo sports -- i am told
