Has this shaft been out long enough for a review? I've never installed a shaft solely dedicated for fw. I'm familiar with how ilima, kaili, ad dj shafts play in fairway woods. Any comparison to those would help greatly, especially regarding shaft load ... easy or hard.

Thanks.

i have the messenger 1st 4 Star (Xstif i think) FW shaft in my Egg HD. At first i installed this at D3, +1" over standard length. i played this for about a summer as is and overall it was a high launching 3w. however, i rarely could hit lower trajectory shots and the club became essentially useless in the wind. I play alot in Hawaii so hitting moon balls into trade winds generally doesnt yield good results.

Chris suggested that i tip the shaft and i did so about 1". now i am much happier with this shaft. in terms of load, prior to tipping the shaft was certainly a little too weak thus i feel the load occurred too early in the downswing thus causing off line shots at times. now, load is still early but very comfortable and much easier to time.

overall this is an easy shaft for me to load but i have a pretty aggressive transition from backswing to downswing.
