Mjr. D
I'm going to build a garage "simulator" and would like to know what the general consensus is on the current best golf net (preferably an all in one setup, not just netting) and the best golf mat. I bought a Tru-Strike mat about 6 years ago but perhaps there is something better available now... Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks. chiromikey
I won't do nets again. The tarps that they use in simulators are the way I'd go if I did it again. If you're a decent ball striker you're going to hit the same small area with your shots and nets very quickly give out with little to no warning. I don't remember the brand mat I used but there are several brands that better simulate turf/divots. They allow you to use real tees and give you much better feedback but more importantly they're softer on the joints. It doesn't seem like much but if you start hitting balls on a regular basis, the cushioning of the mat becomes very important.
