any difference between pt bore thru and non bore thru?? help

hi i was wonderin if there is any real difference in feel etc between the pt bore thru and the old non bore thru version.

would the ball react any different. the prob i have is i want a graphite shaft in one and it seems easier to put it in the non bore thru version
