wmann
I just had a 200 tour reshafted at a shop here in palm springs on vacation, and there is a slight rattle now. I had a 6 gram tip weight added since I was switching from steel to graphite. How hard is it to pull the shaft and weight to get the rattle out? Also should the clubmaker fix this at no charge? I was also wondering if its ok to play as is? Thanks! Bill
ErichF
Pull the shaft and take it apart. There wil be a hole in the hozel. He probably melted the plastic cover or drilled through it. Or something is lose. Tell him to get rat clue and they will put some in the head. Shake the head and it will stick and it will not rattle anymore. Or if the hozel does have the stop plug, maybe it will just fall out of the head. Mine did. The tour will just use rat glue to catch any pieces of epoxie from rolling around in the head. I would hit it. Nothing to worry about. THere isnt anything in the head and the hozel isnt broken. Its like having sand in your shoe. No worries for me. I played with my TM with a rattle. Just something inside the head bouncing around. Goodluck and have the guy fix it. He caused it to rattle. Tell him you want it done right. Watch out for putting so much weight in the hozel. It will play around with the weighthing. IF you can reduce the weight plug and put some tape on the sole. Erich
