7fa
Looking to possibly make the move up to some nice forged irons and have my eyes on a set of Z101s. My questions are, how forgiving are they on mis-hits and are the longer irons fairly easy to hit? Would be buying over the net so no chance to demo. I'm a decent ballstriker and play bogey golf. My current irons are Maxfli A10s TFR 5.0s which are a CB/Blade combo set, and I hit them well with the exception of the 3 iron(which I feel may be cursed). Any opinions out there on whether these Z101s may be too much of a players iron for me?? Thanks.
dmbao
In my opinion if you can play the A10s the Z101s won't be a problem. Not sure you are switching to more of a players club though! I really like the Z101s great irons. Dan
CLMelton
I previously played a set of Titleist 680s. Great rewarding clubs when you are on but the penalties for misses are brutal. Since I went to the Z101s I've gotten away with misses that normally would have added one or two strokes with the 680s. With the Z101s I've hit thin shots, heavy shots, and off-center shots that I was afraid to see what happened and they ended up a lot better than I ever got off of miss**ts on the 680s. All the rewards of a muscleback with the forgiveness of a cast cavity. I can see these irons staying in my bag for as long as my old DCIs did - 10 years.
