Ok guys. Here´s a test from a swedish magazine that really shows how good the new drivers are. The Magazine is "Svensk Golf" our Swedish golf assosiations magazine.

The test was made in the US and the drivers was in the hands of the machine "Iron Byron". The swing speed was set on 90 mph, all the shaft was standard regular. The test measured carry, ball speed, spinn, launch angle, precision and loss of distance when not in the sweetspot. Cause we are measuring everething in meters I hope you can calculate this into yards.

Nice information Palle.

FYI - For all the non metric people like myself - 203.6 meters = 222.66 yards

Good Info! 8)

The only problem is, they will have a new test next week with different results and a different opinions of who makes the best club/s. :?

I see no problems with these test and the results but they are so unfounded. :(

There are so many companies that make quality equipment.

These test are never the SAME and always done in different formats with as they say "Unbiased" opinions.

I never see some of the clubs I have tested or read about such as foreign makers have a repeated mention in any Driver test.

If you run this test in Japan, China, etc, you will see they have there own version and #1 which will differ from what you see here.

Palle, thanks for the info. This post is not intended to flame your post. My question about these kind of tests, though: isn't the only credible conclusion that can be drawn from this test is that the Mizuno is the best driver for iron bryon, at the tested swing profile and swinging at 90 mph (the results may be different at 95 mph). If you lined up 100 golfers with the same index and the same swing speed and conducted the same test, would it yeild the same results? I don't think it would. Everyone's swing is different. I may be stating the obvious, but I am proposing that we consider this kind of info in the proper context.....this info is interesting, but everyone reading the info may acheive different results, and it does not confirm one driver's superiority over another.

I have put several drivers inder launch monitors. with a higher swing speed everything is different. I agree with phillypete, lets see the results at high ss. as a side note, i found that the 460 launcher had the best moi followed closely by the ignite.

God Bless

Jer
