Posted April 8, 200420 yr Anyone out there played both a stiff and an X in the 757? I am just wondering how much stiffer the X will play. I am considering purchasing a 5 wood that has an X in it and I have only played a S. Any advise or comments would be appreciated.
April 8, 200420 yr if you have a decent swing speed and have no problem launching the ball i would recommend the x flex. it just wants to go straight. i play x in my 5 and 7 woods and will never go back! it's only marginally stiffer as long as you don't tip it too much. andy
April 9, 200420 yr I am getting an ss-03 19* soon and the Fuji 757 X is one of the shafts I am considering, does it get the ball up too much? I have no problems getting the ball in the air but I am concerned it may balloon a little? How would it compare to the ALDILA NV75 or 85x?

April 9, 200420 yr I used to play a 757 fully inserted in a 975J. It was a noodle. I switched to an x flex and there is a HUGE difference in feel and dispersion. It actually was a little boardy for my liking, though.
