This is actually a Japan released putter. It really isnt black pearl, its the same finish Duval had on his old Cammy. I think it is "black star mist." Worth over 500 bucks brand new, so this is a steal. Ohms, let me know if you ever want to sell the tour cammy

How could I ever sell a handstamp that I bought for $200? It's getting a COA right now, I am selling my JAT2 though

That probably is a Black Pearl finish and is very rare. The finish is much older than the Black Start mist. That came out after Duval won the British Open.

HUH? Read you post and edit it so it makes sense. This is a Japan release putter, and it has a Black Star finish. And Ohms, who says you cant sell it for more?

Zip,

I think you are fairly new to Cameron collecting as you seemed to be "hip" to the newer stuff. I don't like jumping into people's buy and sell ads but your correction is more than likely "dead wrong." David Duvals 2001 British Open winner was the only limited production putter made with a Black Star Mist finish. The Japanese release Newport Black Pearls were made around 1997. Please open your Scotty Cameron book, "The Art of Putters", by Bill Vogeney and David Levine, to page 97. You will see the sole of this putter, a "Black Pearl Newport", as compared to the Inspired by Duval Pro Platinum finish. I have seen and owned both of these putters. Oh, and I was referring to the the Black Pearl mist being a newer finish than Black Pearl.

SOLD.

fwiw, I believe Lightrider is correct. Anytime a "mist" is in the name, that means that the particular finish was beadblasted and this putter is not (although with the new rainbow finish people are calling it black pearl mist, but I believe they're wrong). The inspired by David Duval was pro platinum with a buffed sole and face, the Duval British Open winner was black star mist, a darker version than both the black pearl and Pro Platinum with a bead/sand/glass blasted top.
