bjp1
I've had a pullout Speeder 869 for over a season that hasn't been used (successfully). The original owner tipped the shaft and added a butt extension to use it in a 3W or 5W. I don't recall exactly, and can't remember who I purchased it from. Can any experts tell me how I can determine how much was tip trimmed, or butt trimmed for that matter? How can I measure this? I'd hate to leave such a shaft in my storage with no real use. bp
Ringer
An Untipped 869 (non tour spec) should measure 25" from the tip to the very bottom of the wave box.
bjp1
It appears this shaft has been tipped 2". This is an S-flex. What would this flex out at with the 2" tipping?
scratchgolfnut69
2" is alot to remove from any shaft. it drastically changes the feel of the shaft most likely making it a little boardy felling. i have an 869 x flex in my sonartec ss-03 7 wood that was tipped 1" and it's perfect. not sure how the s flex will be. andy
