jboy
Hi, I recently tried to reshaft a GSi putter, I didn;t have much joy pulling the old shaft with heat. As the new graphite install is a Ping Novus CFP57 yanked from a Zing 2 Wooden driver and due to grpahics positioning I was going to have the hosel drilled out a tad over 0.4 inch. I just cut the steel shaft and low and behold, the ball bearing. Any ideas on how to get the mutha out ?? Will I need to have it machined out, is it made of tungsten?? Drill bits are just skidding around in there. I don't want to do any more damage as the wall of the hosel is thin enough as it is with the drilling to the ball bearing already. Any pointers ?? Also are the blue inserts paintable on these putters ??? Can they be removed and replaced with other materials ??? Now I know why Ping said they wouldn't do it !
