SlaminSam
Why do I pull the speeder 757. Joe you told me this would be the case (relates to the mid-kick) several years ago, but I do not understand why it happens. My SS is around 105 with a medium tempo, I am not really a swinger but more of a hitter. Thanks, Sam

Swing and club set up? medium tempo but a hitter :?: I'm confuse! :( Joe
SlaminSam
Joe, I am probably confused as to what a swinger is vs. hitter is. I really do not understand those terms. My average swing start to finish is around 1.7 seconds, but I tend to go back fairly slow and make a hard move to the ball. My main faults are I tend to realese the club to early and tend to move a little forward so I am hitting down on the ball. My question relates to the use of mid-kick shafts as I tend to pull the ball with them. I hit high kick shafts much better, but I do not know why it makes a difference were the kick is. Just trying to understand why kick points make a difference. Thanks, Sam

The problem is like you stated above is releasing it to early and enhance it w/ a mid kick shaft, Which most likely you choose a medium/softer tip shaft that enhance the release motion in your hand. That is why also you play better w/ a high kick shaft which most likely a stiffer tip . The hi kick shaft most likely made you delay the release hand action, somewhat kept the face open a fraction longer.Hitting down on the ball will create higher spin rate and baloon action on the ball too, Mid or low kick shaft will make it worst, unless if you can use a tip stiff mid or hi kick shaft. Those two shaft will reduce it. I bet ya if you look at your swing on a slow motion camera, Your club face were shut quite a bit. However the way I see it, IMO you need to fix your swing first before even hoing to much on the shafts. Hope that help! Joe :)
