everybody has there own preference mine are tour velvets but i come to haveing the right size grip when you put you left hand around the club(grip) your two middle fingers should be barely touching to a 1/8 of an inch awawy from thumb muscle in your palm cord when its hot and hands are sweaty or regular if it is winter if your hands dont get sweaty but what and some people like reminders but what it comes down to is what you like to fell but you have to have the right size thats key...

I use Lamkin Tour Velvets. Very nice feel in your hand. Not like you are going to lose your club. Suple enough for comfort, firm enough to go after a shot if necessary.

Many tour players use the same. Retief Goosen. Sergio.

They turn theirs backwards as not to see the lettering.

I use a soft wrap grip on my wedges. Lamkin, or Winn. I do not use a glove with my wedges, so I like the extra feel around the greens. From 100-110 out, I never go after the ball, but ease a good shot into the flag.

I am running out of the Lamkin Sof-wrap grips that were only in season for a year. They only last for 1 season... I guess I will have to go to Winn then... :yuk:

I use GP Tour Wrap full cords, round.

My motivation for using these is pretty simple. I play without a glove and have tried every cord grip on the market. The Lamkins have great cord, but they are almost too coarse and the wrap is not smooth like the GP. The wrap also helps maintain grip pressure, the little edges are more surface area for my hands to grip.

When choosing a grip the most important thing is feel and getting the proper size. Some people like reminder ribs, some dont. Its all what feels right in your hands and fits you.

Just put some Gripmaster round perforated grips on my new z101. Use plenty of grip solvent on these puppies. I ma not a fan of the spray I like to pour the solvent in and shake it then put the grip on. These feel great...will have to report back after the round.

What are your favorite grips and why? How do they suit you and your game? What is good advise to do on choosing grips?

I like the Lamkin Crosslines. They have a good, solid feel to me. Somewhat hard. I don't like the softer grips that "give" some as you grip them.

I would really like cords, but don't play enough anymore to build-up the callouses needed for cords.

Have Lamkin Crosslines on all of my clubs now. To me, they give the best feedback off of the three different versions of rifle shafts I use and the driver shaft.

I like tour velvet full cord with the reminder. Softtie cord with the taper are real nice too.

I do like the feel of tour wrap and tour velvet, but they just seem to wear out a lot faster.

Traditional Winn's are too squishy for me. The new arrows are a step in the right direction though.
