In the course of removing the shaft from the putter head, a torch is used with the result that a kind of darker tone/patch discoloration appears on the top line and hosel. What can I do to restore the original finish?

Apart from any cleaner products, is there a home made remedy?

Any comments/help greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Two products come to mind...Blue Away or Semichrome Polish found at auto supply stores or Barkeepper's Friend sold at grocery stores in the cleanser section.

    Jeff is pretty much on the button on those two products and product call BRASSO.

    However if you think the discoloration is not that obvious, I would try car wax first. Ussually it works fine for just a light discoloration.
