August 4, 200421 yr I've hit a friend's J340 and, although, not as sweet, the X-drive 390 is close. It is very much like having a 395 cc J340. My X-drive 390 is a 9 degree.
August 5, 200421 yr I have both the J340 and the XD390...I'm simply can't tell which I like better. The differences are obvious though. The J340 is more enjoyable all around. I'm sure you know this already. I can do anything with this driver, and the looks & feel is 2nd to none. The 390 is equally stunning in it's large package and has a very solid, hot feel. It is low trajectory and long. You can expect nearly the same about of carry as the 340 but with more roll; the j340 puts more spin on the ball. I think I'm more accurate with the J and longer with the 390. The j340 is a little easier to hit. I'm playing the 390 more these days...I'm swing the big stick well these days. 'Hope this helps.
