Are mine a unique set (Mizuno PRO)?

I have a set of Mizuno PRO's that I got about 8 yrs ago and still play with.  I noticed that it has gold serial numbers on the ferrule..all of them have the exact numbers..what does this mean?

I never could figure out why they would put the serial numbers on the ferrules. If you ever had to reshaft a club, even with the exact same shaft, you lose the serial number. :-D

Most Japanese clubs especially from the 80's and even early 90's had the SNs on the ferrule. I would say the Japanese way of thinking is "We have made this club to exact specifications don't change the shafts yourself and screw up the workmanship and the warranty." The way they were built especially in the late 80's I wouldn't blame them.

IIRC when I ordered my custom Honmas in 89 I think. They asked me ....if the preferred length I indicated was to end of shaft or end of grip....If I wanted to achieve the SW I wanted thru heavy head light shaft or slighty lighter head and heavier shaft....Any special grind on the 11 and SW wedges....What I won't forget is the bill was $$$$$ after.
