VAGolfNut2004
What is the realistic amount of change in loft of a cast club? 1* ... 2*... 3* Any ways to limit the chance of cracking the hosel if you do decide to push the limit? Perhaps heating the metal with a torch prior to bending?
chilton00
Usually 2* is the most people will bend a cast club. I use Eidolon wedges and bent them more than 3* upright and didn't have a problem. The problem with heating the hosel to make bending easier is that you would break the epoxy bond from the heat. It doesdepend on the material in the head though, there are some real soft casts out there that have different alloys in them like nickel that can be bent quite a bit. I'm sure the manufacturer has guidelines for the head if you call them up, most OEMs love to help where they are able to.
