SlaminSam
Why does it not seem to be a big factor in the driver, 3 wood? It seems to matter a great deal in irons. Thanks

It seems to matter a great deal in irons. Thanks The greater the loft, the greater the effect of lie angle. Hold a 9 iron with the head at eye level (on a counter top or table) and set the iron flat on its sole. Now roll it on its sole towards its toe, and watch the directional change of the face of the club. Do the same with a driver and you will see much less directional change. I personally think more attention should be paid to the lie angle of woods. Heretofor, only Ping gave it any serious attention, but with the G2 Driver, Ping seems to have dispensed with it as well.
