  1. Fellow r7 forged player here, and I agree spot on with Milo's post. I really liked the 32's, but didn't care much for the 60's at all. The r7's, to me, are more forgiving and marshmallow soft solid. Mine are equipped with x-100's, and I guess I'm a weirdo, but I love these shafts. I have a high swing speed though
  2. Mine came with X-100's, which are perfect for me. Also, mine are extended 1 inch through the bag, which increases the swing weight ( again, perfect for me since I like a heavier feeling club )
  3. BILLS100, where in Orange County are you ? It's in my contract that I am the only Orange County guy allowed to have these irons ! Alright, we will have to arm wrestle for playing rights p.s. I live in Laguna Hills, and mainly play at Aliso Viejo, Tijeras Creek, and Arroyo Trabuco p.s.s. Beaglehound, I had mine extended 1", and my swing weight is D8. I L O V E the heavy feel. When I hit standard D2/D3 irons they feel so .... I guess wimpy comes to mind
  4. I beg to differ. I understand he really only needs to know domestic. Actually, all a repair guy really needs to know is what the customer wants done. However, for that yahoo to open his mouth unsolicited, and to say with such conviction "fake", when he has NO idea what he's talking about ... well, I can find some serious blame in that. As an afterthought, that repair guy didn't piss me off, but I haven't gone back to him since then. Attitude like that might carry over into his work, and I'd rather give my money, and peace of mind to someone a bit more professional
  5. I had the exact same thing happen to me when I went to pick them up after getting regripped at my local Roger Dunne Golf shop. The guy looked at them, and shook his head. I went "what" ? He said "fake". I said "that's why you work in a repair shop." The really funny thing was when I was paying for them, this japanese player I know who happened to be in the shop for whatever reason spied them, and was going nuts over them right in front of the repair guy. The repair guy went "you know these clubs kenji" ? I just smiled and went on my way
  6. I absolutley love love love them. I've lurked here for a long time, but I think I scored on ebay the first set you ever sold Chris. I think you used my set with X-100 shafts for the pictures on this thread, because when I received them, all of them were plastic wrapped except for the 5 iron and PW. I might have been the first one in the States with them even! I hope they hold up forever, because they are so sweet feeling. All the rage in the states regarding TM are the r7 tp, and the r7 forged just kill them .... absolutley bury them. A few golfing buddies have the r7tp, and they are nice clubs I guess ... but they just feel so dead and lifeless compared to the r7 forged. Very selfish thought, but I hope they never release them outside Japan ... or at least in the states. It's so nice to know I have a special iron that performs unbelievably well, and that not only isn't in everyone's bag, but isn't in anyones bag at any course I ever go to except mine. I'm so happy I stumbed across this site
