  1. I'm selling a professionally pulled 46in Mitsubishi Diamana Flowerband Blueboard. I had it in a Nike Sasquatch Driver but pulled it after only playing two rounds with it. The shaft's totally mint. Very smooth, not boardy at all. It's the 83g X-stiff. Send me a private message if you're interested. Offer me a price. Thanks. P.S. I'm a 100% Ebay seller.
  2. Hey guys, just about to place an order with Chris. It's taken me some time to figure out what exactly i want, but i'm pretty sure i've finally figured it out.............maybe minus the FW shaft. Let me know what you guys think...in terms of functionality etc. Not compliments or insults. Ha. Thanks Order: Epon Technity Driver 9.5 (neutral face, since i tend to slice) with Roddio Pentacross W-7WA X-flex (74g/3.5 torque) Epon Technity 13.5* fairway wood with (please let me know what you guys think) either the Mach Line Pro 80 FW X-flex (83g/3.1 torque/mid-high kickpoint) or Axiv V 8084 XX (84g/2.8 torque) or Diamana Whiteboard X-flex (84g/2.8 torque/high kickpoint) Tourstage X-UT 18* with Graphite Design UT-95 (97g/2.4 torque/mid-high kickpoint) Anyone know if this utility hits the ball naturally pretty high? I've heard Tourstage's X-UT hits the ball much higher than Bridgestone's equivalent. Anyone know of any other shaft options in the same weight category as the UT-95? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks. P.S. I'm also ordering a plethora of wedges, still in the deciding process for those though. Man i love golf.
  3. already sold. It's a stiff, i need an X-flex. Great shaft though. And yes, what are the differences?
  4. What's the 8M2? Never heard of it. I do need that low spin, low launch. Curious.
  5. Oh ya. What is the general consensus on what the better shaft is? Mach Line or Roddio?
  6. Anyone? What is the Diff? Also, what's the Diff between the Mach Line Pro, Tour and Proto? Does anyone have the specs for Mach Line's? Kickpoint, tip stiffness, spin, trajectory, weight, length, torque etc? Thanks.
  7. Oh i'm pretty sure they wouldn't. U know how it is.......give something a outlandish price tag and people associate it with being the best, or special, and of course we then convince ourselves we need it and figure out ways in our minds to justify it. Hell, i want it!
  8. I want to use them for par 4's. But i usually use Bridgestone 330's. I went golfing today, only fun i had was with the driver since i can't hit my irons anymore (see "bizarre mental glitch" post). I hit a Titleist DT Solo 365 today. Hit a BS 330 about 340 a couple times, and i found a ball that said titanium.....tee'd that sucker up......par 4, 387yrds. Hit that one 7 yrds from the green (walked it off). All in all though, it was one of the most frustrating rounds of golf i've ever played. I may take a long time off since my iron mental glitch thing is taking years off my life. I'm not enjoying the game. Impossible to. Maybe i should just try long drive. Ha.
  9. Ok, i'm loosing it. What is the deal with their shafts? Altus, Medius, Infra, TP-7, Xcon, Code 5,6,7,8 F-7M, F7M-2, some other hybrid ones and apparently some new protos? Seriously, like WTF!!? I'm looking to fit either a 3 wood or a hybrid with one of their 927452711 shafts currently in their lineup, shockingly though, i can't seem to narrow it down. I don't even know what 3/4 of them are for. PLEASE PLEASE EASE MY PAIN. I'm looking for a 80-85g and a 90-95g shaft. Thanks.
  10. How does the 420 change performance from the 460 head? Are both forged? What face produces the lowest spin (out of both Technity CC's and both Tourstage CC's)? Thanks man.
  11. So what's the general consensus on shaft flex? Does a typical X flex japanese shaft play like a typical S flex american shaft? Is there a noticeable difference between an american S and a Japanese S flex shaft? I'm very curious. Thanks.
  12. Not sure if you guys have been over this before, but what's the scoop on the company called Nakashima? Are they Japanese or American posing as japanese? Quite curious.
  13. Anyone care to give me a recommendation? I'm looking at the 13.5 of each. Or if there's something better than both of these, by all means, indulge. Low spin is most important for me. Thanks fellow junkies.
  14. I have a Titleist 905R, barely used, 9.5 with a Drev ICN Tour shaft. S flex. I swing too hard for this shaft but man, it is smoooooth and easy to control. Buttery. Let me know if you're interested. I'm looking to sell it. For pics, just click on "buy" then type in Drev ICN tour, it'll come up. Thanks.
  15. Need a driver, 3 wood and hybrid with appropriate shafts. I need low low low low low spin. Anyone know of what leads in this category? Thanks.
  16. Blader, you are primo! You're like a caring father. Great great post. I spent about 1.5 hours with the guy. He was alright, i wasn't overally impressed, but i'm sure he knew what he was doing. On a side note, his swing was quite gross looking. Haha, anyway, i tried the following clubs. My J33R 8.5 with Aldila VS proto, stiff flex. New Taylormade Burner 9.5 FT5 9.5 Hibore XL Tour they didn't mark which shafts i used with these heads and i can't recall. I was changing clubs and shafts every 8 swings. I'm not sure if i'm reading this chart properly or not, but under the heading "Offline" there are some - ratings and a lot without a + or a -. I'm seeing 35.8, 1.4, 17.6, 54, and it appears these are all averages with different clubs. The weird thing is, the 1.4 is with the HiBore and i hit that club the most offline. Go figure. I like what u wrote about feel being more important than stats Blader. I agree. I really thought the Accra i tried was an awesome shaft. Granted, i don't know what i'm looking for when swining a shaft, i just know i hit every ball with it dead straight and i felt some nice kick. I tried a Ozik shaft in a 3 wood at this fitting and i liked that shaft a lot too. It was a Altus, not sure of the stats. He just quickly grabbed it and had me swing it. Felt very smooth. So maybe i ought to give the FM-7 a shot, although, i noticed Chris removed it off the site. Are they still available? Thanks fellas.
  17. Ya i don't know what i'm going to do yet. I can swing easier for sure, but i'd rather master my ability to swing it hard. Plus it's more fun. My ball speed was 194 yesterday with a 44.5 in driver. My best is 206 with a regular (not long drive driver). Where is this "Golf Gear" shaft test? Where can i view this? Sounds interesting. By the way, the explanation you have about club head twisting is what this fitter told me. I don't know whether to go with his analysis or not, just because i was really hitting the ball poorly yesterday. Might change things. He told me a woman's ball will travel much further than a men's ball by the way, just much much more difficult to control. I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the help guys.
  18. I paid $200 to get club fit today at Hotstiks Golf. They told me what i expected. I need an X-stiff shaft, low spin head, medium/low launch. The thing that surprised me was, they told me i don't want a shaft with too low of torque. I was slicing the ball pretty bad today and he told me lower torque will only cause me to slice it more, since it prevents the club from twisting. He ended up fitting me in a Bridgestone J330R 8.5 with a Diamana X-stiff Blueboard, 83g. My swing speed was on avg, about 134, but my spin was somewhere in the 3155 - 4729 depending on what driver he had me swing. Which is very high. He told me the it was because i was getting a lot of side spin on the ball which was making the ball spin back more as well. Anyway, just wondering if anyone could tell me if the low torque not good for a person who has a tendency to fade/slice the ball is accurate or not. Thanks, i appreciate it.
  19. I'm not a great golfer, i have a lot of ability but i am not a great golfer by any means. I went to the range today and for the first time in my life, I felt like I choose the wrong sport as a child (baseball instead of golf). I came away pretty impressed with myself if i do say so. I'm usually my toughest critic. Quickly, here are some problems i usually find myself having while swinging the club. I fade everything......every club. I catch a fair amount of balls thin. I hit the ball too high. With that being said, i found these 5 things to make an infinite amount of difference to my golf game today. I'm not saying these are "absolutes" or even correct, i'm just writing this because they made such an incredible difference to my game it's ridiculous. I don't like to get too mechanical in sports, i've been there in pitching way way way too many times. I find it takes away what's natural to the individual. Key word being individual. I think it's good to have basics but i think it's just as important to have rhythm and flow and personal checkpoints. Anyway, i've never had a lesson and i don't have any formal understanding of the golf swing, but i've read a little, tinkered a little, and after today, realized what makes my swing tick. I found these 5 things to be my personal check points. 90% of the balls i hit today were dead straight with more distance than i've ever had and slightly lower trajectory. I kid you not. 1) Loose grip. As loose as possible without loosing control of the club. This primarily improved my distance... A relaxed muscle fires faster than a tight muscle. as well, it took less toll on my hands after swinging for hours at a time. 2) Athletic posture. Weight on the balls of my feet, not the heals or midsole. Golf's an athletic movement, why wouldn't an athletic stance be optimal for a golf swing? Helped with my balance and consistency. I still bent over from the hips, not the back. 3) Take away (this more than anything changed everything). I used to take the club back a little too far behind my body. Now, all i think of is taking the club on a straight line from the ball, similar to how one while putting. I can't tell you how much this made a difference. I instantly got rid of my fade/slice, and it isn't a difficult adjustment at all, since it's during the backswing and not the downswing. 4) Posture. All i do now is focus on keeping my initial posture (mainly knee flex and spine angle) It's especially important when i'm swinging aggressive such as with my driver. I have a tendency to pull up (i think it's fairly natural to want to.....especially when u swing very hard.........it was 144mph today when i gave it my all) and top the ball. Focusing on this has made a huge difference to my ball contact and therefore distance. 5) Lastly, my head. I used to be a guy who would sway slightly from my front foot to my back foot in order to transfer my weight. Now i tried doing that again today and i compared it with focusing on keeping my head extremely still during the entire swing. Like i said, i don't typically like to fight against what i feel is natural movement in sports, but i did find keeping my head dead still and i do mean dead still, made a big difference to consistent ball striking and therefore, ball control. Instead of the slight sway, i now just let my arms (during the takeaway) be the catalyst for my weight transfer. I don't even think of weight transfer anymore. I also felt torque in my mid section for the first time because of this. The result??? I was hitting range balls consistently, believe it or not, 360-375yrds today. I don't mean to write this to brag or whatever, but i was extremely excited and pleased with just how much focusing on these five things changed my ball striking. Like i said, this is just what i find makes a huge difference to me. I don't know if it's textbook or complete horse s**t, i just know these are now my 5 keys to to swinging. Give them a shot, it might make a big difference to you as well. P.S. I've done countless mechanical analysis' for myself and other pitchers and although it's not golf, it's still the human body transferring energy. I have very good proprioception and having gone to hell and back with pitching mechanics, i feel i'm pretty decent at narrowing down mechanics so i'm only focusing on things that truly make a difference and tossing out the complications. Al la, checkpoints. Thanks.
  20. ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND.......................... ....................................................................... ....................................................................... .......................................shiny.
  21. Last question. Round vs teardrop head? What are the benefits of each? Thanks man.
  22. What are the best wedges on the market in your opinion and why? I know in N. America it's Volkey, CG10's and whatever else.......what about the Japanese brands?
  23. Hmmm, ok, thanks. Sand always varies. Right now the sand's hard and i can't even get the ball out the bunker on my first attempt. I seriously have to make contact with the ball first (not the sand) to get it out. It's not even sand, it's like slate. It's ridiculous. With bounce, I just figured with a steep angle of attack, you get on the ball on a sharper angle and therefore i thought less bounce would benefit miss-hits a little better (not hitting the ground first, with a club with more "bounce" and skulling the ball as easily)........especially from 100yrds out etc, when you'll swinging a little harder. I find i skull the ball when i make a mistake with my wedges.......rarely if ever catch it thick. And i'd much rather catch it thick than skull it anyday. I told a guy my tendencies when i ordered my Mizuno wedges but this was before i really knew what my tendencies were. Here are my wedge stats. Let me know if this is a lot of bounce or not very much or avg etc. I actually just looked up bounce the other day so i'm not an expert on the subject and therefore not even sure how to read it yet. I have a Mizuno MP-T series 51*/10 Another MP-T 51*/06 MP-T 53*/08 Mp-T 56*/10 Mp-T 58*/10 And a regular MP series (Raw Black Ox) 60*/06. I hate all the MP-T series wedges and am looking to replace them. Just don't feel soft at all.........clicky feeling. I absolutely love the regular MP series 60* i have though. Strange indeed. Thanks for the help.
  24. Just wondering, if you have a steep angle of attack and have a hard swing, are u better of with less bounce in your wedges? Thanks a lot.
