Jbeam 435/435 black/Crazy 435 ltd - Difference?
Vegaman replied to shacco's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Good question, I guess the milled face should make a difference on the Black and Ltd? The Jbeam and Crazy versions are identical from what I understand, only difference is the Crazy stamping. -
I remember that. I'm also pretty sure Itobori uses generic blanks/open models for their club heads, so they don't have a specific forging process
-
I've seen these a couple of times, very artsy/handcrafted look. I always thought the knobbly look was a bit gimmicky..If the grinder is top notch though, well yes, sure

Crazy, Roddio, Epon, Jbeam, Miura, Fire Express

Not sure, maybe only a driver. Are the PP9003S Miura Giken or Miura? If Gikens, are they round or square version and which sole, standard, notch or trailing edge relief? -

Headcovers for the drivers? Would you ship international? Edit: Just saw the headcovers in the last photo -
Getting a bit old but ok. That's obviously downhill, just looking at the photo. On the courses set up for tour play and with fairways running at 12 or something on the stimp, yeah sure. Plus slopes, rolling fairways, yeah anything can happen. So actually, yes Trackman can lie quite a lot depending on circumstances.

There are plenty of tour players that aren't that bombers, doesn't mean they aren't "good". I just never considered Spieth to be a long hitter on tour.
-
I have even noticed that in Japan, drivers made for better players quite often come stock at 44.75 and almost never more than 45.
-
Was thinking the same..almost like a mix up of meters and yards?
-
Will it be in the pro shop?
-
I did write "with any sort of regularity". Sure, he can probably squeeze out a 280 3-wood if he swung out of his shoes and during certain conditions. But his full swing regular 3-wood don't go 280, at least I don't think so.
-
His SS with a driver is just under 112 mph, that's the latest 2016 stats. He plays almost all his golf on the PGA Tour, and pgatour.com have the most comprehensive and exact stats for their players, and have had that for years and years. Why you would claim they are inferior when it comes to statistics, I don't know. http://www.pgatour.com/players/player.34046.jordan-spieth.html/statistics
-
Ok, but anyway my point was that it sounds improbable that Spieth hits his 3-wood 280 with any sort of regularity
-
Yes, he is 290 yards on average with the driver, 287 according to pga.com. I'm thinking he might be 250-260 with the 3-wood.
-
Yeah? I always thought he was kinda "short" compared to some other tour pros. 280 is a good smack for him, his average drive is 287

PROTOTYPE 7D Putter Shaft in Mpbachman's New Flat Stick!

I didn't see what was written, so have no idea wether it was drastic. I just generally think rules should be applied evenly. Of course, this forum is almost like a club, so if somebody thinks established members should be treated a bit differently then I respect that view too. I actually think that's already the case. -

Are you suggesting there should be one set of rules for older members and one for less senior members? -

I Just what I thought, the mods there can cost more than the donor vehicle. -
Looking for 3 wood head that gives very high trajectory.

So how did you like the Maruman Shuttle? That thing goes sky high, the easiest launching FW I have ever tried. Especially with the light and soft stock shaft. -
Yeah, true about 103 being expensive for a long while. I just have a general feeling that historically Epon irons get snapped up really rather fast on the BST for example..The current situation notwithstanding! Same for stuff like the 202HT spoon and the 902 in lower lofts, that stuff usually gets sold in a hurry. The drivers, I feel, hang around for longer. Might be wrong, it's just something I thought I have noticed.
-
I have the Zero driver, but for me Epon was always more about irons than woods, kinda like Mizuno. Irons are a different beast altogether, forged S20/S25 still is the premium choice so Epon isn't lagging at all when it comes to irons I think. As for prices, I always thought Epon irons and wedges seemed to be more sought after the woods. Exceptions being the Zen and maybe 202HT Spoon.
-
So in essence Epon should swallow their pride and buy some DAT55 or SP700 from other suppliers for their driver faces
