  1. I'm happy and very pleased with my purchases. Just having a few more par and birdie putts a round makes my day.
  2. I finally got the Grandista RS-D driver to the course today. I hit no driving range balls, just went straight to the course. My first drive barely went ten feet high but it was just left of center of the fairway and about the same distance as my drives usually are on this hole (approximately 215 yards). I'll take a fairway hit any day on this hole. I made an adjustment on teeing the ball a bit higher from then on. That made a difference as my drives were medium high, went a few yards further, and were as straight as I have ever hit a driver. That first drive was my shortest. On the day I hit 11 of 14 fairways and my 3 misses were all pulls to the left and they were all playable. My distance was on par with my Glorious driver but straighter. The fairways were still a bit soft so I wasn't getting much roll. Don't get me wrong. The Glorious can be straight also but with this Grandista the ball just stays on line. I really like this Grandista RS-D/Basileus AAA combo. I'm a senior golfer, don't like to practice, and don't take lessons. Just like my Romaro Ray Alpha irons/Crazy STP combo, this driver combo just delivers. If only my putting was better.
  3. I received my Grandista RS-D 11 degree driver shafted with Basileus 2018 AAA, 50 R on Monday and took it to the driving range Wednesday. I'm a senior golfer with a swing speed in the 80 - 85 range. I currently play JBeam Glorious, 12 degree shafted with Crazy Sports Type A, R2 flex. That has been my most accurate driver ever. I hit over 60 percent of my fairways with it and my misses aren't that severe. This morning I hit approximately 50 range balls with the Grandista and I hit one undesirable fade and pulled about 4 to the left. The other drives were as straight as could be with a medium to medium/high ball flight and a average distance in the neighborhood of 200 yards. I'm not a very good ball striker so anything in the fairway is good for me. My first couple of range sessions and golf outings with the Glorious were terrible. I was real pleased with today's results. It's so hot here on the East Coast so I'm not sure when I'll get to the golf course but I'm anxiously waiting. Thanks again, Chris. You were spot on.
  4. I would like to thank Chris for pointing me in the direction of these irons. My initial inquiry was a set of irons for a 24 handicapper that are very forgiving but without the extra wide sole. So I ordered the Romaro Ray Alpha irons (5-pw, aw) shafted with Crazy Regenesis STP 50g R flex graphite shafts and they are exactly what I was looking for. I've had these irons for about two weeks now and have played three rounds with them. The ball flight is mid high and dead straight. They are lofted stronger so they go farther. I hit the AW distances I used to hit my PW. I hit a few bad shots and got a lower ball flight but the shot wasn't much offline. These are by no means point and shoot irons. I'm not a very good ball striker but when I take my time, put on a decent swing, I got good results. I consistently hit greens from distances I never did before. At the moment I'm very confident with my iron play which has always been the weakest part of my game.
  5. It's great that this Alpha series driver, fairway woods, and hybrids are serving you well. Hope the irons are as successful. I'm shafting my Alpha irons with the Crazy STP 60 g shafts. I have Crazy/Glorious driver combination and I've never hit so many fairways before. However, I think I'm going to give the Alpha hybrid and fairways a try. Keep hitting them straight and long.
  6. I'm in the process of gaming the Romaro Alpha irons so it's good to see some love for this series while I decide on wedges.
  7. It's good to hear your positive response to the Glorious. I'm awaiting my Glorious/Crazy Type A combo.
  8. Gocchin, I remember when you first came on board but I had no idea you were so new to the game. Thanks for all the advice and information you've given me lately. Congrats on the JDM bag and I'll be looking forward to more of your informative posts. Thomas
  9. They are game improvement clubs geared towards the mid to mid/high handicappers. Anyway, that's what Chris told me about the JPX E300 and JPX E301. The JPX E310 are updated versions of those clubs.
  10. If it were you, which would you choose and why? Thanks for all comments.
  11. Chris, in an earlier post you mentioned that the new VIQ driver was for the better player. Is the entire series geared towards the better player.
