  1. Yup I should have known, but really wanted to give the p a shot. R, the p9003 will be sold. I have absolutely no need for it.
  2. Ok I hit a couple of hundred balls and gamed oth drivers today. I'm quite surprised with the results but not complaining as it's a win Win situation IMHO. And I get to try another shaft for the big dog. The non performing shaft was inteded for my 3w but at this point I don't see the point. Does not make sense to put this shaft in my 3w. Alas both drivers being pulled right now. The one I preferred among the 2shafts I gamed was the Di8s. Was so Wishing for the p9003x to be the winner but it wasn't. Even though it was the Lighter feeling shaft it did not live up to my expectations . I loved the weight But I felt I could not load the shaft with my normal temp, could not really go at it, Had to de tune my swing ich is very alien to me. I had some really long shots with This but was in the minority. I think the problem was the higher kicking profile, Was struggling tons unlike the 9003 which was a breeze to use albeit the weight. Now for the di, I already knew I was going to like this shaft as I liked the di6s but Found it too spiny, this one is significantly better , nice mid launch , nice kicking Powerful shaft with tonsof roll. This mid low kick shaft is my preferred profile and Feels like a very rigid smooth, rubber band. Totally ballistic without sacrificing any feel. This was the friendlier shaft and i could go after it and would still go straight. I had more Left side English with the p9003 than this one. So am i putting this shaft into my 380cc gamer? No I am not. Am putting the di8 in the 3w Which was the original plan. Will crush that combo. I'm getting the quasar fex proto 75s for the driver. Thisnis the last piece o the puzzle. Hope that one doesn't disappoint. Should have gone that route from the Very begining. Will game the di8s on the 3w on Sunday. Won't have a driver but I don't mind. To be concluded on septemberish.
  3. I think stew games at least half a dozen drivers On a regular round and a dozen on special occasions. 3 is fine.
  4. Thank you sir, I hope it plays as good as it looks.
  5. not there yet:) just worried these will be too stout. matrix'is notorious for being too stiff. what weight are your crazies?
  6. copper 302s. i dont like having more than 1 set of irons.
  7. with your ss you should be gaming no less than than 75g shafts. the fex proto 75 TX would be super duper in your 152 combo.
  8. back from the doc. clubs assembled and ready to rock was eyeing 45 for both but the specd out to a whopping d6 for the 360/di8s combo. apparently the little bugger is heavy, cut it down to 44.75 and its still tips the scales at D4. oh well will see. specs: 380CC EPON w p9003x 45" gd 2g grip SW-D2 273cpm ( perfecto!) 360cc EPON w DI8S 44.75" GD 2g grip SW-D4 256 cpm ( wtf????) im perplexed about the cpm of the DI8S i was expecting something in the mid to high 60s. my older di6s was 253. no tipping was done to the shafts per goodsie's advice. hmmm i guess for now all i can do is forget i even know the numbers and hit the goods. sometimes its better not to know at all. ahh info overload. will game the thundersticks tom, loser will get yanked out and will be the sacrificial 3w shaft as was part of the original plan. the DI8s was intended to be for my 3w as i snapped my quattro. but i could not resist to put the orange shaft into the burlwood orange-esque driver head. you gotta admit its a good fine looking specimen. im pretty sure that if trimmed to length should bump up cpm to the mid 70s.
  9. your obviously a strong player, like i said the 152 is spinner than its other siblings but probably lower spin compared to other usdm offerings. have you tried the 102?
  10. if i did not have my 380cc epon id be gaming my 102. unfortunately the 380s are impossible to get so the 102 is your next option. cant go wrong with it. btw the 152 is not high spin, it just has higher spin compared to the 102.
  11. Im a sucker for authentic tour only gear and this one is as tour as you can get. supposedly belonging to adams staffer Ryan moore who is also a ozik user. anyway these are tour van customs protos of the retail white program 130 iron shafts. after having a long chat and go signal from divot dr goodsie i pulled the trigger. will game these mid september. from the markings they are very very stiff xx with a freq of 6.5 but goodsie thinks i can handle them based on what i play. dispersion will be sick and will bury my modus 3. Here are the label markings label reads as follows: ZTIXX 6.5 / VER 9.0 3 - 313CPM 4 - 317CPM 5 - 321CPM 6 - 325CPM 7 - 329CPM 8 - 333CPM 9 - 337CPM PW - 341CPM i tel you it never ever ends...........
  12. but where is the fun in not looking bro? anyway the 152 is higher spin than the 102 and 101. its for the slower SS player. but its still pretty pretty long. i am gaming the 102 and its the lowest spinning epon head i have had but still pretty much launches high tons of roll but thats where the shaft comes in. i had my 102 with with the di 65s and the shaft was just too high launch and spinny. i guess you already know what you want you can either pair the 152 with a lower spin shaft or get the 102. cant go wrong though with the 152 looks like a transformer, could even be a decepticon spy! who knows if this head continutes to taunt me i will give it a 100mph spanking
  13. the P9003X weighs 80 grams in the GD Japan site
  14. tell me about it! such a beautiful shape. hope they make the 153 sub 460. i just shot these pics a min ago. bellissima!
  15. well i have been wanting to do this experiment for some time now, after much consultation with stew, goodsie and the gang i have decided to go the Graphite design route as i have had so much success with these as of late. The p9003x has also been creeping at the back of my mind and driving me insane so i had to get one to see what the mythical status was about. Not wanting to be left out of the spotlight, the burlwood 1/1 360 driver was begging to be taken to play as it was getting real bored hanging out in the shelves with snooty bottles of single malt. will shaft her with a di8s. just got the shafts p9003x and a di8s. snapped some pics im curios about the markings on the shafts: the P9003x says 7.9 and 79. im assuming that the shaft is 7.9 frequency and the weight is 79grams? close as spec'd weight is 80 grams? the DI8s on the other hand says 7.4 and 82? Likewise im assuming the frequency is 7.4 which is about right and the weight looks close to the 84 specd weight.? can anyone shed light on these markings ? if they indeed are the freq and weight ? here are pics clubs as we speak are being sent to the doctor and will be done in a couple of hours. will be back with the specs of the finish drivers later. going to be a busy weekend.
  16. well jeff you are right. thats what ive been saying for some time. i even find the EMS longer than the 152 and 102 longer than all. The ryoma and the EMS are about the same for me. i think it benefits the slower SS player. and IMHO its still pretty forgiving even though its touted for the better player.
  17. wow thanks straight from the bag man. im surprised he switched to the DJ from DI though. apparently working for him! cant wait to see him this weekend.
  18. I would assume a yamaha staffer would use the tour models. Could be a wrong assumption though.
  19. Thats a beaut, I had two of those before. Mind selling me the head only?
  20. its kinda confusing i take it if there was a set to own its the 08s? il wait for some reviews of the 12s before deciding on picking up a set. if the 12s werent in the picture i would have put my money on the 8s.
  21. probably the best looking yamaha tour ive seen.
  22. he is hitting them vey well! imho performance aside i find the ezones the best looking blades by a country mile.
  23. just fiddling with the idea of a DS for off the tee use only. not a priority right now but i want one eventually
  24. those are good insights, now im thinking. il be out of golf for a month so i have time to think of what shaft to put. i really dont want to go down the crazy route as thats a pandoras box i dont want to open. will confine it to the GDs since i have had so much success with it more so than the quadras. will be gaming my 16* 3wood this weekend with the DI8s, i could even consider that for the ds 11.5
  25. Aside from the ballooning of the p9003 what other issues id you have? Did u find it light?
