  1. the qt md is one shaft i will eventually try. looking forward to your review
  2. i should have posted this when i got mine but dint want to be mean:) oh well here ya go. and i got mine with the axiv x ofcourse. i am amazed the more i use it. have another one on order with the tour ad emb shaft. they say that this is an even better macth compared than the axiv x. honestly though the x seems like the perfect mate for this head but with all the technology going into shafts anything is possible.
  3. LOL!!! actually my dad gave me permission to borrow it for 9 holes yesterday although i had the decency to give him the first few inaguaral putts in our home carpet:) Actually you are right i didnt like blade putters but ever since my C&L and a few other custom putters that has changed. i actually dont own a neo-mallet anymore. my gamers are all custom blades and loving it. only thing that eludes me is a golds
  4. just got back from a game, i borrowed it for 9 holes and the feel is unbeleiveable. almost feels like there is a sound slot in the putter even if there is none. may be due to the frequency filtered shaft. this is the first time ive tried this shaft and the responsiveness and feel is undescribable. in short i like it very much. il be the first one to say that i was skeptical at first bec putter doesnt look special at all or unique, frankly it looks like my old teardrop but once you roll that ball thats when the magic starts. this is my first foray into the world of custom putters. as to who the maker or what his options are i do not know. all i know is that the guy has been making putters by hand for over 5o years and churns out about a handful every year. il try to get more info.
  5. after seeing a nice looking putter my friend from japan was using months ago i decided to order one, this one just got back from the engraving shop and engraved name of my dad on sole. this will be a gift to the old man along with some wedges. this one is handmilled from special su303 steel from japan. those who have it swear by the steel. waited almost three months to get it as there is a huge waiting line in japan. feels quite different from the other ss303 putters i own. i will try to get more info about the maker and his process. my dad will certainley get a kick from it. i know i did. added a ust frequency filtered shaft. from putting on the carpet it certainly feels very different. cant quite explain but it certainly feels more crisp and you feel when youve mis**t a shot. the combo with the head is certainly unique and il leave the job of making a unbiased review to my dad.
  6. check these bad boys out, giving them to the old man for christmas. the guy was nice enough to have my dad's name stamped with dancing letters. these are soft carbon wedges handmade and handground by hand. note the channel grind similar to another japan wedge. check out the sick milling in the face. i especially love the unfinished rough look of the wedges.
  7. honestly with all the new styles i am getting confused and having a hard time deciding. this latest ss303 looks like what im looking for, more eye candy compared to ps1/ps2.
  8. dont think there are any of these floating around yet. but just in case i want a 60 as well:)
  9. my dad loves the 758s i love the tour ad75, similar but the 75 seems a tad softer which is just the way i like it:) these are a wicked mix on the epon wedges. may get a 60* as well soon. these bite like crazy and i love them for attacking the pin anywhere from below 100 yards. one thing i noticed is that i always come short on greenside chips with lotsa runway. with my older wedges i got some decent amount of roll. with these ones easily 40% less. so it will take some adjustment to get used to the spin on these type of plays. not complaining though btw i also picked up a stock AF701 A wedge and a SW with GD tour ad 65, reallly curious how these compare to the copper wedges. will have pics of these soon
  10. what model did you try? they have several for different types of putting strokes
  11. will have to find out for myself soon enough:)
  12. your review almost sounds like my impressions of my epon kzg wedges. havent been able to spin a ball backwards til i got these. im willing to try the new yamahas next year on looks alone. not only can it dance but it looks damn fine too! considering a 60 soon
  13. i have a 20* #3 with new tour ad 85s. if you want it its yours pm me your offer. thanks
  14. i have the black vintage copper wedges in 52 and 56. the finish of the last pic is black vintage copper. the chemical purpule will fade in time and reveal the nice golden patina of the copper below. imho these are the sickest wedges and willl get better as it ages. will take close up pics of the grooves tom.
  15. very interesting and i enjoyed your reviews. i do beleive you in saying the black series is good, tried there entire line at our local shop and the roll and feel is just superb. now consider this is a rack putter yet performs as good as any customized putter minus the personal touch.
  16. damn beautiful wedges T! yamaha has something special here. been eyeing these for quite sometime now but this will have to wait. been over my quota for wedges to last me 2 years:) btw your picture of the grooves clearly show how deep and right angle the box grooves are. they almost look illegal BTw let us know how it feels with the tour ad 75 tnx
  17. very very nice droopy i like your putter very much. im really curious about the slit like + insert combo. i will be liquidating some of my putters and clubs next year. hopefully there is enough in their for a gold's startup
  18. dont be selfish and post the pics:) seriously though id like to see your wicked stick.
  19. there are many to choose from that fit your criteria and they are legal too. from the looks of what your describing the yururi raw black wedge sounds what you a are looking for.
  20. congrats! show us pics when you have it. what options did you go with?
