  1. do you have pics of the black G? im considering the tour ad for my next set someting in the 70ish g range so the tour ad 75 would be money! but curious how the black gs look like
  2. i am glad i havent pulled the trigger yet. big time savings!
  3. still seaching for the perfect driver head for shafts im defintely a GD fan ever since i tried their tour ad series. cant wait for the new qt md for my emb
  4. way to go looking forward to your review of the mti. what shaft did you select ?
  5. i got my girl the 20* and 23* shafted with oem lepon GD shaft to complement her lepon irons. i can take detailed pics of her sticks tom
  6. up for sale is my callaway ERCIII jspec with speeder 569 shaft. both are in good condition with normal wear on sole. pics attached. asking $380 shipped and paypaled. pics added
  7. i feel your pain as well. locally the tax on golf clubs is 1% but with all the taxes, handling etc etc. in the end it comes up to almost 3--50% of the declared value. although there is a loophole by under declaring it the government ahs grown wise about tis practice and actually have a blue book on all current value of most gear coming in. if they do not know the price they will average it out and there is no escaping. some items get to slide out but payment is the only option. in the end the competitiveness of the item i have pruchased abroad wether new or ebay is lost by the time customs duties are paid. if i dont want to pay i usually time my purchases with arrival of friends or family from abroad. they usually will hand carry these items for me.
  8. for now i would have to agree with you. there are many designer boutique putters coming out from the states that i am giving a go at. i doubt though this will come close to a gold's. got my gold's design figured out already just havent pulled the trigger yet. would you know if sasaya offers ss304?
  9. it is 20*. check out www.teamgfield.com
  10. this will be awesome! i love the qt but wasnt to happy about the low kp. this will be something to look forward to as the pt is one of my favorite shafts
  11. J, i would have to agree with you. the shafts i am playing in my graphite are by no means stiff and are much softer than the softest steel shafts i have used. in fact i have noticed that i am able to get away with some digging due to the shaft acting like a shock absorber and allowes the club to actually flex while i am digging at the ground. if i were using steel i probably wouldnt be getting away with it like the graphites. for the rest of my irons no problemo
  12. im digger and my swing is nothing but smooth:) i mentioned i use black golds in all my irons and love it. but for wedges i just discovered that graphite suits me more. its weird becasue people like steel in the wedges right? ive had mixed feelings about my chikara with s400, ping with nspro950r, cleveland dsg with s300, gauge with s200, epon kzg with black golds.... you name it ive tried it. what i never realized that it could have been the shafts and not the heads. then boom i try out some graphite shafts and everything just worked. my shortgame has improved dramatically. i have a aggresive swing and i am a super digger . i would recommend getting the heavier axiv shafts or even graphite design tour ad shafts if your going to try them anyway. you cannot go wrong. anyone else on the same boat?
  13. it may be a durability issue. from what i understand carbon 1025 feels softer but is not as durable. i could be wrong though
  14. For me it boils down to the shaft i have tried many heads but they wouldnt work because i suspect the shafts were not suitable for me. if i could do it all over again i would go graphites in my wedges. i cant really explain it but i actually preferr graphite shafts in my wedges ONLY. ive tried chikaras, pings tours, epon kzg, vokeys, 588dsgs, gauge, etc etc. they all worked for me but something was not right about them. as i said i suspect that the steel shafts i used were not suitable for me. what i keep coming back to is my beres mg801 with armrq 1 star shaft. i think its the shaft as the head is nt really a great design in my opinion. i will most likely get the rour seidas or even the mti in a nice graphite shaft in the enar future
  15. claus unfortunately i do not have pics as i do not own a gold's. there are many pics here. good luck on your quest.
  16. R, i would have to agree with you but we are hard headed and want to find out the difficult way:) i am as we speak looking at a pile of shafts in my possession ranging from speeders, tour ads, mamiya proforce, roddio etc etc and i want to arive at my chosen club by process of elimination for peace of mind. am i making sense? anyway back to the roddio i am thinking the reason why my driver/shaft combo did not work was more to do with the deep faced driver rather than the shaft. i will not be in peace til i embark on this last experiment. hopefully by the end of the week this may all be resolved.
  17. B, totally agree with you on teeing up the gfield. i tee it to the point that the tee head is barely off the surface sometimes a little higher depending on my mood but the ball will just barely be over the top of the face. with the epons i notiiced that i was teeing it up much higher sometimes half the ball would be over the top of the face. also noticed that the lower profile of the gfield and hot face make it a treat to use most especially of the tee. i also hope i get the shaft selection right this time around. by the way its your reviews of the epon fw that made me want to revisit this experiment again. i must have deja vu or something because i swear i could have done this before!!!............ oops i actually did LOL
  18. thanks jack. if theres anything i have learned with my previous experiments its that the gfield 16* and the gd pt series shafts are the best combo for off the tee/off the deck use. really love the lower profile of the gfield and is a tad more forgiving than my epon. then again i was comparing a 16* and a 15* with different shaft combos. also this will be my last experiment with roddio, didnt work on my driver, not expecting much on the woods but who knows i may have a bit of a surprise.
  19. guys my experiments are coming to a close and this will be the last couple of head/shaft combos i plan on undertaking this year. my experiments with my 4/5 wood have paid off and i now i am going to do the same experiments for my 3 wood. note that this will be for exclusive of the tee use in one of our tight, wind ravaging mountain courses. for this i have selected to opt for the 3 wood in a course as unforgiving and tricky as this. anyway i have two heads ready for prepping, one is a gfield 14* and the other is an epon 15* will be testing one of them with a roddio w6basr that was pulled from an old epon driver, a speeder 569 and possibly a pt7/6. question is from those who have tried both i am wondering what the easier one of the tee would be? im thinking the epon since i have had great succes with it in the past. never tried a 14* so im curious about this one as well. had a brief 1 day stint with an epon 13.5* with QT75s but i did not find this particular combo to my liking. looking forward to the coming experiment and will post some comments soon. now if i can only figure out which shaft goes to what head! it never seems to end...........
  20. LC, yeah these guys have a mind of its own, your pzone must have gotten sick of performing after seeing the golds. must have become depressed, you should be more sensitive to the feelings of your other putters. bet they are all insecure after the golds became a part of the family. as for the golds, leave it alone, its purely aesthetic unless of course you cant sleep then i say send it back to sasaya he shouldnt charge you for the amount youve spent:)
  21. LC, still enjoying the sound slot? bet your premium zone no longer gets played.
  22. i ahev tried the stickys. imho they are good but what i like about them is the colors. frankly i am happy with my GP new decade multicompound. if the iomics were cheaper i would have gone that route a long time ago.
  23. i have never seen one like these as well. and since its tadds it makes sense that its in green
