  1. i have the machline 501 on the type x and all i can say is that these shafts are as good as any other premium iron shaft available. very very stable and easy to use. i actually prefer these over the axiv i have on the 701s. one thing i noticed though is that the machlines seem to play softer than flex in their irons graphites
  2. interesting project chris. im very excited for you. my question is will that be adequate for all your clubs?
  3. glad you sorted it out T! i actually just oil mine after every round. while im playing a nice wipe down after every shot is ok. i actually prefer baby oil as its friendlier on wedges with black oxide or compound finishes. for raw faces wd40 will just do fine.
  4. decided to sell my 57* let me know if your interested
  5. thanks jackson i needed to hear that. dint wanna waste $60 on something id regret. i agree though it looks cool
  6. no prob, im actually thinking of selling the 57. if i do will only sell it with the 52 as a combo
  7. T, im curious on these frequency filtered shafts are they really that innvative compared to stock shafts? im particularly interested in the ust one. any feedback?
  8. ive seen those pics before in another website. i actually thought they were one in the same
  9. dave im actually selling my 52:)
  10. claus, nope sir i never had the oppurtunity to try the scratch wedges. never had to as i have all the wedges i need. the epon though is in my top 3 among my ping mb tours and chikara protos
  11. i never had the epon copper x wedges so i have no basis for comparison. with the epon and chikara i would say the epons feel a tad softer but the chikaras have more playability and versatility especially on gnarly lies
  12. ive have been able to use the epon 52 and 56 for almost 2 weeks now and all i can say is that these are one fun set of sticks to use. very controlable and the feel is very distinct. i guess this is attributed to the copper finish of the wedges. im very satisfied with these and will continue to do more testing but i usually rotate these with the beres wedges, and chikaras. in the short time ive used them i can say these are the easiest to use among the wedges i mentioned. am very impressed with the spin although i have had to re adjust my distances to factor in the spin. also seems suitable for my steep and agressive angle of attack in my wedge play. also noticed that these shred balls like there is no tomorrow. whats also interesting is the original black vintage coating seems to be virtually worn off more so in the sole area where it is completely gone revealing the rich copper color similar to the epon copper xs. all i can say is that i like the way these are aging, looks better the more it gets used. in a couple of months i expect the black vintage tinge to be completely gone. not to worry as the copper underneath is gorgeous. next project of mine is to completely remove the white paintfill. here are some pics from normal use for two weeks
  13. im interested in your tipped axiv, what is the cpm after tipping? how would you rate the 7072 compared to the qt75? thanks
  14. t, thanks for the advice, although this one looks like something i might be more interested in. anyway i feel the same way about the paintfil:) let me know how it goes when youve finally had some time with the wedge
  15. i am curious about the 53 deg. aside from this and the tour seida, what other brands are suited for the steep swinger. does anyone have first hand experience iwth this wedge? thanks
  16. i wished i could read japanese! would certainly help my navigation on the japanese internet golf sites and auction web pages.
  17. would be nice to see some pictures of your new wedges, also would be cool to have a comparison with this and your tour seida thanks
  18. i agree with the others its a matter of personal preference. i had some minor issues with getting the chikara to work for me but a quick swing fix and im loving it even more. i guess its a personal choice and sticking with one that works with you regardless of the hype. i always fall under the spell of having the latest and greatest but tend to be more loyal to my wedges. i have spent so much time finding a wedge that works, for now the chkara seems to be that. im glad i stuck with it and dint sell it. from what i heard, tadd wore out his chikaras and carlton is grinding him a new set.
  19. nope aint selling any of my gfields they are just so special and work for me. i have a friend who has some new heads that hes not using. Droopy, www.teamgfield is gone you can view the items but thats about it
  20. i have two of these faiway woods and mine seem to be .5close. anyway i have one with mamiya proforce regular @ 255 cpm and pt8 @ 271 cpm. the mamiya is very user friendly and will suit someone with a slower ss and smooth tempo while the pt8 is for the more aggressive swinger. like the others id say stick with Gd, you may want to try a QT55/65 or even a pt5/6 as duffer suggested. either way with the higher end gd shafts you cant go wrong. good luck
  21. master, im curious about this one, you have any links or pics? thanks
  22. i agree im not a fan of tourstage irons but their 3 iron utility is a looker. havent found a utility iron to kick out the gfiled UWs from my bag. im on a constant search though
  23. cool! im actually looking for a new utility iron. i used to use the ping fli hi irons 3/4 then switched to the mizuno mp fli hi then replaced them to hybrids. im actually considering the new on/off driving irons but these look so much more apealing to me.
  24. Claus, you are making things difficult for all of us i feel like a kid in a candy store with all those choices. seriously speaking though i voted for the af301. it aint the prettiest among the choices you gave but it certainly is the most forgiving and easy to hit of any players cb i have tried. for me if i were to select a players cb for my game in the future i would want something around the lines of the af301. then again i also like the miura cb1006 but heard they arent as friendly as the epons.
