  1. They look like the 33's to me.

Never dawned on me to look in the shop. Grips sure do look tacky.
  3. Ever since I've received the Roddio W-5BA shaft in my Epon 460 some time ago, I haven't had the time to go out and test it. I also need to test out the GFT 5 wood and my new PX 5.5 flighted shafts in my irons. I'm about to burst, and I'm seriously considering not going to work one day. Since this is my last option, can anyone tell me what to expect from the following: Tour Drev stiff vs. Roddio (listed above) for the driver Nippon 850 GH R vs. PX 5.5's At least I'll gain some insight...hopefully. I KNOW that most of you out there know exactly what I'm going through. On an unrelated note, while I'm typing this, I'm looking over at the advertisement on the left side of this page and staring at the "56" block number wedge. From our vantage point, it looks like a wedge with a 95 degree loft (since it's upside down). Now THAT would be fun to mess around with.

I, for one, would like to know where one could buy these No. 1 grips. Any ONE?
  5. Heeeey! I like!! It really does have a mystical, magical quality to it! Good job!
  6. Gocchin, you make me sick. I'm soooo jealous. Have fun with your new toys!
  7. That shaft is SICK! Nice crocs too!
  8. Jeff, post pics of your copper paint project on your wedges when you're done!
  9. I'm telling ya, once you see the 4 wood at address with a ball in front of it, it's like the ball is telling you to "crush me!" You feel very comfortable over the ball also, and it just breeds confidence. Let us know how it works out for you.
  10. Heh, if you do it this way, you'll be "alright." (j/k) Very good recommendation by Jeff (idrive). I'd even check out the GFT 4 wood (g-field). This is one club I will NOT let go of.
  11. I'm thinking that black/black will be hard to see. Don't you want a contrasting color? How about vomit light purple? I did white paint fill on my copper Epons, and they look nice. I posted the pics in the WITB section.
  12. Ok, I'll clear this up... Use acetone to remove the old, original paint fill. Be careful not to get it on the ferrules! Use NON-ACETONE nail polish remover to clean up the unwanted paint or overspill after you've finished applying it to the needed areas and after it has completely dried. Hope this clears up the confusion. Sorry about that.
  13. (Dave chiming in here) The Testor's brand has all sorts of colors, so there's a very good chance you'll find a color to your liking. Application process (I'm assuming your new wedges will come without any paintfill) is simple. Use a toothpick and use small amounts of paint at a time to fill the areas you want. Just let it drip slowly off the toothpick and into the indented areas. Allow it to dry completely (give it at least eight hours). To remove the paint due to overspill, use NON-ACETONE based nail polish remover (I got mine at Wal-Mart for $1.39). As a final touch, you can apply clear-coat to it as well. Testor's also has this available. Go through the same process, and finish up with the non-acetone nail polish remover. The main part is to allow ample time for it to completely dry. It's less messier that way, and it should come out nice, smooth, and clean. Give us an update when you're done, and post those darn pics!
  14. I've tried both acrylic and enamel based paint. Enamel works best (Testor's brand, found at any hobby store), although don't get it on your hands - hard to remove! Removal of original paint fill easiest by applying acetone (few coats). Careful with this too, and don't get it on the ferrules. It'll damage them quickly.
  15. Thanks for the clarification. Is there a comparison somewhere that I could use as reference? For example, what would a standard DG S300's CPM be, or a R300 steel shaft? Something to use as a control point...
  16. Purchase made. Please delete.
  17. Actually, I haven't the slightest clue. In fact, I don't even know what the heck CPM stands for. I think it maybe has something to do with compressions? Oh well, just uninformed, that's all.
  18. It's at 64 grams, so it's close to the weight that I'm looking for.

Anyone have these in strong reg/stiff (5.5) they want to get rid of? Lookin' for a set... Grips not an issue, as I install my own.
  20. Epon head and looking to get a W-5BA. I'm sure it'll perform better than the stock Tour Drev.
  21. What kind of shafts do you use, and what's your carry and roll distance? Do you find heavier shafts being a major factor in distance and flight pattern?
  22. BD, you are one sick puppy to have these! Although I'm not really surprised at your review, I am curious to find out how much all of this cost! Sorry for the momentary thread jack. Back to the topic at hand... The JPX's look to be larger than the 57's, and I'm sure the top line is thicker also. Tour-md, what seems to be the priority for you between the two?
  23. Since it looks like you already own two of the best out there, I can't see anything else on the market that would satisfy your curiosity. I myself have yet to try the X Drive, but I'm happy with the Epon and will look to see if I can get fitted with a Roddio. I'm sure it would make a big difference vs. the stock TD shaft.
  24. Once the club is received by TSG (or wherever we're required to send it to), what's the turnaround time? How long can we expect to wait to receive it? Thanks.
