  1. ok ill take the 'rife, send me your paypal info.
  2. im looking for another gemini, anybody want to trade one for; Alpha V2 400cc 10.5* Accuflex Evolution R (plays like R.5) 44" tour velvet grip 9/10 condition. looking for a 10.5* gemini in excellent condition, head or whole club. shaft unimportant. 395cc or 460cc
  3. any intrest in a nice alpha V2 400 10.5*, accuflex evolution R 44", in 9/10 condition for the gemini?
  4. tour release 27.3 =higher ballflight vista pro 90 =lower ballflight the data added up just fine.
  5. go to your nearest wallmart and get some 3m liquid polishing compond. aply it with a foam buffing pad mounted in a drill and buff it out. works great. i make $2 per head doing this.
  6. in my experementing using the same head with different bend point shafts, the ball flight was affected- very noticeably. high bend = lower, more penatrating flight. low bend = higher flight with more spin.
  7. title says it all, well almost; 23* loft stiff steel shaft nearly perfect, hit maybe 20 balls with it just dont have room in the bag for it. $100 shipped conus no trades.
  8. mine shares duty with a touredge 320j. its 10.5 proto, not as long as my 320j but i have alot more control with it (missed one fairway today). it is solid but dont think that it is a magic wand- you can still hook/slice it in a heatbeat. just put a good swing on it and wait for your buddies to dig their balls out of the woods.
  9. still love gem, just wanted to try a stiffer tip and keep the look. maybe ill try the vt60. thanks again.
  10. anybody know where i can get a fuji tour release 36.3? id like to buy just the shaft, i dont want to ship my driver out. thanks in advance.
  11. you dont have to anchor it against the body, i have a mid length putter and dont anchor it when i use it.
  12. i dont think they should be banned. the only real problem i see with it is that maybe it shouldnt be anchored to any part of the body. hold it in your hands like any other club. if they ban it just because it is long, then that would open the door for all kinds of bannings.
  13. i have a 27.6 R in a 395 gemini. not about to change it.
  14. i tried one at a demo day and didnt like it either, i felt like i was hitting it solid but my shots just went nowhere. i thought the new big bertha was better. looked cool though.
  15. if im not mistaken the tour model is quite a bit smaller than the retail 460cc. ive only seen one and that was the only real visible difference i saw. there may be more ways to tell but im not sure.
  16. i think what they mean is that the player himself delofts it during the swing, not that the head is physically delofted. if its sitting open at address and and at impact, its still open and lofted as spec'd. if its sitting open at address and square at impact then the effective loft should be slightly lower. ive some experementing with open/square/closed drivers and found little actual diference, for me anyways. since im always working the ball one way or another, im constanly manipulating the face open or closed. face angle didnt matter, a draw was a draw and a fade was a fade. i think people are getting to worried about face angles. but, thats just me
  17. if someone wants to send me a louisville driver to compare head to head with my gemini, id be more than willing to give an unbiased review. itll never happen because the mfrs that do still make persimon drivers KNOW that they cant compete. if someone from one of these persimon mfrs takes offense to this, email me and ill get you my mailing address where you can send the driver.
  18. wholeheartedly agree, my gemini/TR is now trimmed to 42.5" and im still crushing it. i cant hardly swing a 45" driver anymore, i think the shorter length allows me to route the club more efficiently and more than makes up for the lack of clublength.
  19. youre not alone, most people buying clubs dont pay attention to this sort of thing. they just see the ads or hear people say that "i hit this iron longer than that one" with out realizing why. like someone said once " i dont fear the man who can hit his wedge 150 yards, i fear the man who hit is 104 yards."
  20. apperently the deal is that a putter shaft must be at least 10* from vertical when it is soled. the sole of the futura allows it to be soled in a couple of different positions, one of which where the shaft is inside of 10* of vertical. dumb rule, its in effect to combat croquet ans side saddle style putting.
  21. anyone ever done this? i saw it done on some show a while back (cant remember what show it was) but they were showing how to adjust the lie by heating one of the bends on an "s" bend mallet shaft. anyways, the only putter ive been able to get to my lie preference has been the tour edge t balance, but i miss too many short putts that i should be making due to funky alignment (you have to aim from the back of the putter with the lie adjusted up since the shaft hides most of the sightline). after shooting a 75 the last time out (while a 75 isnt bad at all, i did miss 2 eagle and 4 birdie putts inside 6ft) i decided it was time to look into a putter with better alignment. it would have to be a mallet so i could do what i saw the tv show. i like the 2ball blade but oddysey says i can only bend it 2*. enter the NC voodoo center shaft. i had tried the heel shafted version when they hit the market but wasnt impressed, this was the 1st centershafted model i had seen. the shaft has 2 slight bends and lines up well. i snagged it and retreated into my laboratory (garage). it took a few tries before i got the "feel" for making the bend, the show said there would be a "feeling out process". its diffacult to discribe but you can feel it and youll know when it bends, rather than flexing. it took 2 tries but i got the shaft to move right where i wanted it. i thought i was going to fold the shaft but it worked like a charm.
  22. how about a trade for a set of ping ISIs? silver dot, pretty good shape, no grips. id like another gemini identical to the one i have.
