UT-306 or cvXer
Thanks for the reply T. Yes, they are both designed for the athlete but my question is which one of the two would be more forgiving regardless if they are meant to be for low cappers. Also, want to get feedback from people who have tested the actual club since manufacturer's intentions are not always spot on. I've tried looking and so far only anserfreak has put the UT-306 in the bag. :)

Graphite Design Tour AD PT-6 Tip 9
I picked up this shaft. Its a pull from a XXIO driver. I was originally going to put in another driver but went with a different option. Now I have a spare shaft. I was wondering what is the difference between this Tip 9 version VS the retail PT-6 other than length? Thinking of having it further tipped to put in a 5 wood. I realize that it will get stiffer if its tipped but just thinking if it would be a good idea? Let me know what you guys think. Sorry for the blurry pic, only had my cell handy at the moment.

UT-306 or cvXer
Looking to add a 21* utility in the bag. Any feedback on these two? I'd also be interested to know which of the two is easier to hit. Cheers...

Sounds like a fun test... Although, the different shafts in each iron set might skew your results.

2008 Black TourStage 445cc Driver w/ PICS!
Jack hit the nail on the head. Excellent review on this club. I have a smooth swing, at least that's what i use as a mental image, and found that you really have to do a full swing to get rewarded with this driver. To me, a "full" swing doesn't necessarily mean fast but more of a full shoulder turn and follow through. Fortunately, I have the flexibility to extend and follow through all the way. If I just keep that mental image, this driver with the stock stiff shaft performs very well.

I like the layering on the cavity. Reminds me of the NC1. Very nice CB's!

looking for comparison
I was exactly in the same boat as you back in December. I was lucky enough to demo all the clubs mentioned except the JPX which wasn't on my hit list. My findings are pretty much the same as Gocchin's. Most forgiving is 701 and best feeling is 550. I was flip flopping between the two and ended up with the 701 since it was more forgiving and confidence inspiring. At first I felt like I "settled" for the 701. That feeling quickly went away as soon as I kept hitting pure shots with this club. To me, the difference in feel is not too noticeable. You really have to be tuning into the feel to distinguish the difference on a well hit shot. The honeymoon period is well over and I am still very happy with the 701. I will definitely use these sticks well into single digits. You have chosen excellent clubs and can't go wrong with either of the clubs in your list. Good luck!

I see a lot of praise for the UT-85 in the various threads. What type of swing fits this shaft? Any feedback on the lighter UT-65?

The Return of Gauge Japan's owner George Takei
Every time I see this thread, it reminds of that guy from the original star trek lol. Anyway, I like the simple design on the FW minus the stampings. Hopefully will get to see more good things in the near future.

Grips
NO1 grips. I like the soft and sticky feel. Nice color combinations too.

???? MIZUNO USA Forged Irons?????
When I read that statement, it means that in Japan, there is huge demand for the "r7 tp forged". It doesn't mean to say that the r7 forged is forged in Japan. That is my interpretation of that statement. If you do a search on the forums, they've always mentioned that its forged in China.

New, New VIQ?
Thanks for the clarification. I thought it was different since the other pic looked like it had a chrome finish instead of matte/satin.

New, New VIQ?
http://www.golfdigest.co.jp/golfmagazine/g...27driver_02.asp http://www.golfdigest.co.jp/golfmagazine/g...25driver_02.asp Just browsing the old reviews on GDO and noticed two different reviews of the VIQ driver. They look the same but the one on the first link has a chrome finish different than the one on the second link. Yet, both of them say its New V-iQ?
