Miura blades are prob what your looking for. If you want forgiveness, then its another story.
  2. I was playing hogan apexs and then moved to miz 32s then moved to 695MBs. Then I moved to CBs w/the MP60, R7TP, CG1s, R7forged, now the AF301. I've always been a fan of Mizzy, and I love the workability of blades, but I've never felt anything better than my 301s w/1150tours fit for me from tsg. The 301 has taken over my bag since last year and I have no intention of changing for a long time. T
  3. Def. gonna have to get my hands on a pair.
  4. Oh this will be good!! I can never tell precisely which clubs target which class from manufac adds and funky long words.
  5. I also must agree w/T. CBs are great for game improvement. W/the technology now, you'd be robbed if you didn't at least even try to take advantage of the forgiving CBs out there. Note>Shingo uses the ignites if I'm not mistaken. Also great set of clubs. Most of the guys I know around here play CBs during tourny play even though they have the nice beautiful MBs. Workability is sacrificed for forgiveness. But I've had a chance to hit some great CBs out there that are just awesome; ie AF301 r7 forged, Miz 60s 57s and the xforged. In my book the CBs have lowered my handicap and are just, "easier to hit" as my main concern is put the ball closer to the hole. =) T
  6. the onoff 247 would absolutely be a dream!! I only looked away because of the price. I even think the name is killer! ONOFF 24 7. Miura forge, small offset, thin topline, and CB, what more could you ask for w/a low h CB

    Berry Nice Bags!!
  8. Cool I didn't know that
  9. I noticed Yamaha is also offering the Impres x driver in a type D ST-Long version. Anyone know the difference between the two? I've seen the pics online, and looks like the ST-Long has the sole of a 425V and the back of the crown looks like its painted redish. Wondering how come this driver isn't offered in the proshop... ?? Looks very appealing. Anyone have any clue?
  10. Went to Makaha resort today, and had the pleasure of golfing w/ 808_divotmaster another TSG member. He witnessed my 52* bent to 51 from 114 out on the 14th par 5. My third shot, pin located right in the front, I hit a low 120 shot on the green, my ball bounced once and rolled back to the hole and knocked in. The amount of spin I achieve w/this wedge is just not right. In the wedge "spin" dept, this one has outdone itself. It made my day and I was simply overjoyed, as this was my first birdie hole in from 100 yards out =) Couldn't be happier w/purchase of this pair of wedges. =)) Its to damned fun when you can make the ball spin that much. o_O I really didn't even care what I shot. I just wanted to hit those wedges again.

Yep the 301 is an awesome CB. Prolly the best I've ever had a chance to hit. But totally agree w/MR Feder, the 301, not a blade like feel. Instead it is a fantastic CB. They took over my bag last month.
  12. 950s kinda hard to hit for me. I like the 1150s or rifles. Though I havn't hit the TPs.

Off the top of your head, anyone have this info? I tried looking at the site, but no info on that. Thanks, changman
  14. For me, They have almost the same groves, its hard for me to tell because I don't own AFs. I've hit a friends, and can't really give a good judgment off of that. But the yamahas I own, are just about the craziest spinn' wedge I've ever played w/. And it doesn't even have a milled face. "Who needs milled when the ball spins this much?" I like the yamaha's w/the project xs, they feel harsh on mis**ts, but the ball really feels solid on the center. The 950s were easy to hit, and easy to hit it low too. If I could do it over I'd prolly go w/1150ghs in the yamahas. Lost of peeps are doing the graphite in the wedges, and they will contest to a super feel, I'm sticking w/the steel. Weight depends on shaft selections and balance.
  15. Happy Xmas everyone!! I hope you all get the club you wanted!! lol
  16. Wow, this is the first time I've seen this line of Mizunos. They do look very interesting.... I can't read the lang... are the irons forged?
  17. Same opinion here. Endo wedges!!

Hi, Thanks!! re: your question.... I think it was the opposite for me. For me, I kinda liked the Xs they feel way more solid for me. I can really hit that knockdown w/the Xs and go after then pin. I'm 27 so I think I shall be swinging hard for the nx 5 years or so. Moreover, me father went from xs recently to DGs, he likes them more. LIke you said "smoother." It is a big change. It seems like you've already hit them both... If your swinging down and hard... then go w/the Xs, on the crisp shots I can really feel them. Have you tried the Black Golds? I like the BGs, they were great in my Mp32s and wedges... On the S300s and 400s Ive had... DG is a great shaft.... Just a different feel, and for me the Xs are more consistent. Re: the transition, I really try not to swing hard on that 60 as i use it for the touch shots around the green from the rough. I prolly will stick w/it.... its working for me... =) I suppose I'll give you the run around again and say "what ever feels best for you" Sorry if I couldn't be of more help....
  19. Lol I just thought to myself, the best clubs are always the "other guys" clubs. LOL
  20. If they are scratches... contact ari techner. [email protected]
  21. They look like scratch wedges
  22. Yep I just damed near jizzed myself!!
  23. ah just a few o_O
  24. You might wanna try Yamaha's Impres X wedges. I've never experienecd more spin in any of my other wedges, than this yamaha. I will contest to this.
  25. After 4 straight days of golfing w/the impres x wedges side by side w/my tourstage marus, spin milled wedges and my Miura wedges, I can say this> "Holy mother of golf ball spin! Yamaha Rules" I played Coral Creek on Sunday 2 rounds. All morning I was spinning the ball off the green. In the afternoon the shot was great as the greens hardened I was able to hit Medium trajectory dead shots that landed and created huge divots. I went through 2 sleeves of taylormade tp reds in the morning round because the the wedge tore the cover off the ball. (literally tore the cover off) I think the best thing I like about this wedge is the spin and trajectory. Even w/the 950gh, I am able hit a very low trajectory dead shot w/the 59* (had the 58 bent to 59 same as my maru and miura) which was perfect because of the 30mph gusts we had this past weekend in hawaii. (Exactly what I was missing in my shot back) Normally w/my spin milled 60, miura 59, clevelands I can hit it low, but the spin will only effect the ball travel after the second bounce. I can get it to stick on 3 bounces, but w/the yamahas I am successful at getting that ball to stick on the first bounce or even bounce and spin back, "talking like 5-10' back". Further, I have never experienced a wedge that ate a ball on a half wedge shot the way this yamaha does. Father and Brother and the rest of the playing partners were joking around after the round and said that yamaha's grooves are illegal after experiencing the wedges for themselves. I'm completely satisfied, it is a great wedge endo/yamaha put out, I will probably order a second set soon for backup, and an additional set for my brother who is now constantly asking me to borrow mine. I have to say, I never thought a wedge like this right off the rack would kick my Marus out of the bag. o_O
