Final Review - Yamaha X V Forged Tour Irons
Bogey, Great review and after hitting the Yamaha Tourmodel with KB shaft, you provide a very good assessment. When the regular XVs with the Tour ADs are finished, we’ll see how they stack up to the Tourmodel. DKJ

Yamaha Inpres X V Tour Limited vs. Non-Tour PICS
Fantastic Bogeydog! Thanks, this is exactly what I needed. Good looking irons! …and wow…they vary only slightly from the Tourmodel. In looking through the Yamaha web site, it appears there is an added weight (tungsten?) at the back of the non-Tourmodel. Your great photos don’t show anything…do you see, or feel an any weight difference? I’ve ask Gocchin to take a look at the images on the website and verify what the drawing indicates and the Japanese write-up associated to the image. Can’t wait your read your review and impressions of the irons!!! How they compare to one another, and any comparisons to other clubs, like the Epon 301s, TC-550s, Srixon 701s, etc. etc. What shaft, etc. do you have in the non-Tourmodel? Thanks again! DKJ

Yamaha Tour Limited Forged Irons w/PICS!
Hi Chris! I understand now why you kept the last set. If I had seen these photos, that set would have been gone! Did you take any photos of the regular X Vs? Can't wait to read the feedback and impressions. DKJ

Yamaha 2008 Inpres X V Forged and Tour Limited
It may be apples and oranges…but… 1. How does the Inpres X ‘V’ Forged compare to the forged Srixon 701s? Both are forged Endo products… 2. How does the Inpres X ‘V’ compare to the Miura CB 1006? Feel? Size? 3. Gocchin-san mentioned both the Inpres X ‘V’s and the Miura 5003s were garnishing great reviews by the golf press in Japan. Now, after their intro ‘newness’ period, is there a hands-down favorite? Or are these both champs in their separate corners? DKJ

2008 Epon 208KGX Wedge w/PICS!
I hope you can answer these questions, or inquire with Epon…. One of the finishes listed for the 208KGX is a ‘gold’ finish. Is this copper?...or an alloy? And…what is the finish on the black 208? How is the finish bounded? Is the black finish electro-chemically bounded?...or applied? Thanks! D

2008 Epon AF-Forged Wedge Pics!
A real big thumbs up on the 701s! Hit them on the range a few times and played a round with these bad boys this morning. Good solid hits, GREAT feel and they play beautifully! The Axiv shafts combination was dead on! The swing feels effortless, produces very tight, excellent shot dispersion, with great accuracy! And then there is that high end ‘crack’….not really a ‘clink’….to me.…more like an explosive ‘crack’…like a firecracker! I like the sound…as do my friends and playing partners. As for distance, the 701s carry about 4 to 6 yards more. But, I’ll need a little more time on the range to zero in the exact distance for each club and compare them with the other set. As for the wedges…sadly…I was not shipped the Vintage Copper AFs as ordered, but received the regular chrome heads. What’s worse…I wasn’t even notified of the switch….such gloom and depression!

2008 Epon AF-Forged Wedge Pics!
We'll see! Just ordered a 50*, 56* (adjusted to 55*) and a 60*, all in the Vintage Copper, as replacements for my worn KZGs. . It was recommended, so I’m trying them in the same 758M Axiv shaft as my irons, and weighted a point or two heavier. Hey now…looking forward to the short game!

New wedges for 2008
Spoon - It was good to read the Axiv shafts run stiffer. I will probably stay with the Axiv shafts through the set and look at adding weight to the heads bring the swing weight up….3 to 8 grams in each wedge.

New wedges for 2008
Great Spoon! You bring up some good points and insights. What you think of going a little heavier with the GD Tour AD-85s or 95s? ...or stay with the Axiv? In the previous thread, I ask about length…any recommendations?
