  1. i know this was posted previously, but i cant remember where. someone gave a description of the new woods in comparison to the older models - them being flatter, rounder, a blend, i cant remeber. If someone knows what i'm talking about, can you inform me. :-D They do look hot, and i do need new woods. Hey, if i cant afford them, i can get the older ones cheaper now, just switch shafts - i want to keep my ice  i know its off topic, but has anyone tried the purple ice in the older woods, and how was it?
  2. know what would be flat out deadly a set of mp-32 in a gunmetal finish. I can picture them in my head, makes me drool. :surprize: i love the look that vijay has with the gunmetal cg1, dont know why other companies dont offer. gunmetal mizuno would be awesome. A set of gunmetal taylormade blades would be hot too. Imean look at their black wedge, very nice looking. A whole set of similar blades, thats badass.
  3. high trajectory with the blades may be a function of your swing. Try experiemnting with different shot shaping techniques to lower trajectory, maybe more knockdown style shooting. I'm no pro, but this helped me bring my trajectory down when it was too high, now its second nature. what type of shafts do you have in them? if you love the club, dont move to something else. It's fun experiemnting and testing, but if what you've got is good, there is really no point in leaving it. You will find that you just wasted the money :money: case in point: i liked my cobra irons, but i needed to graduate to a better set to improve my game. many were skeptical, saying i would lose distance, and struggle because the irons i have now are not nearly as forgiving. My first round matched my cobra average, but since then i have only improved, and now i have much greater feel and control. if you like the clubs that much, and they are not holding you back, i would say stick with them.
  4. nice bag. you must either love taylormade gear, or have some sort of sponsorship deal going on there. either way, i like the setup. nice pics
  5. some research says callaway divine nine wood had 24* loft, no info on face angle. You can alter face angle to alter loft, but his specs are extreme, so it was probably custom made anyway somewhat confusing, but easy to grasp if you have seen it. For instance, a standard tour 3 wood will have 13* with a square face. If you were to buy a 3 wood with labelled 13* loft, but 1* closed, if you bend it to square, it will have 14* of loft.
  6. That other pro was Rich Beem. He uses a 7 wood "bent" to be a 3 wood because the appeal of the small size. You can do this because when you change the face angle (closed-square-open) you also alter the loft of the club. Example, when I had my 3 wood reshafted, I had the clubmaker open the cubface a bit. Standard specs on my club was 2* closed with 15.5* loft. Now the club has 1* closed with 16.5* loft. It plays like a 4 wood now. My 5 wood was also changed. 18* loft at 4* closed became 21* loft at 1* closed. It now plays weak compared to other 5 woods, almost like a 7 wood.
  7. I can second that, As I have demoed the mp-30, and a friend on my golf team let me play with his mp-33. even witha shaft too stiff for me, they seemed easier to hit. :D
  8. Has anyone hit these wedges. I think they look sweet, and I liked the shape of the original nike wedges. The Duval setup works better for me. How much money would it cost to get some of those wedges to the east coast US?
