RomaRo Ray UT
Have decided to stick with the Attas Hbrid shaft. Seems to work best for me. When struck right, can't get 260 with the18* head. They play like really compact fairway woods. The iBrids play more like GI irons except you can shape shots really well with them. Even more compact then the ONOFF Fairway Wings... Will be fun to compare the RomaRo with the Epon UT.... They seem to be very similar spec wise... Just have to bore the hosel a tad on the Epon.

Why Are Epon Clubs so Good?
My fitter also was top 100. The extent of his JDM is, wait for it, Miura... I don't live in a market where enough think it is worthwhile... So need to drive a couple of hours at a minimum.... I know they are out there, but not easy enough to get to/find for me... Buy and try, while expensive has been fun...

Why Are Epon Clubs so Good?
did you miss the > sign in my post? I think Supo is the only one that is not deterred by the buy and try method… It gets worse for me as my builder does clubs based on MOI instead of SW so any set I get is pulled apart and reassembled if I like the standard build. Not to mention the incremental for the graphite shafts I use in the irons… So either I gamble with ~$2k or spend ~$3k total after trying the standard set... The only option I have found in the States is a guy in the Bay Area that has a high end club rotational loaner program...

Chris, you are entitled to your opinion and even though you edited the original post it was done in a respectful manner. No need to have changed it. I do agree with MiuraManiac, although with much less vim and vinegar about the results garnered with their clubs... Also, when I have visited the Miura Japan website, they seem to flaunt their process as much as the US side does. They view it as a differentiator/strength, you and brands you refer to see it as a weakness. Owning the forging house is somewhat irrelevant to the equation however lying about it is ethically and legally questionable. Every company I have worked for has competitors that try to poke holes in the products my employers have made. Why would the golf industry be any different in that regard. True or not customers of those product make a choice on which "spin" to align with. There is truth and untruth on both sides of most arguments... Much like following a sports team, getting too charged up over something as arbitrary as your brand of choice or team allegiance, unless you work there or play for the team is pointless as you have no real impact on the product/outcome...

Why Are Epon Clubs so Good?
Agreed that trying side by side is the best way, but at >$1k per set and no demo clubs available makes doing so a very expensive proposition.

What is interesting in your write up is many things you point out as flaws Miura claims as benefits... In full disclosure I did have Miura in my top 5 and have enjoyed playing them immensely. The impetus to switch was to move to conforming clubs, not a dissatisfaction with them. When I started that process I knew what Miura feel was and wanted to compare to other stuff...

Why Are Epon Clubs so Good?
The reason I ask is that I am playing the RomaRo, am told forged by Kyoei, and think they might get the nod over the Personals. Admittedly I do not have the rounds in with the Personals yet, buy will be a good fight. So Kyoei is capable, but am curious about others too... Is it truly cultural as the OP implies or just the corporate culture at Endo???

Sold on WRX !!!Reduced!!! Miura Baby Blade 3-PW
I have seen them in both places, put them here. I am surprised people think the SP Blues are stiffer than anything else Nippon makes. They are lower launching, definitely, but no stiffer. I actually went the X flex graphite route as I out grew stiff steel and didn't like X in the steel shafts I tried...

Would Kyoei be in the same boat? Who are the other forgers that have in house brands?

RomaRo Ray UT
The only FEX I have tried to date is the hybrid... Couldn't get my swing aroud it... Felt great but... Every conversation I have had about it is higher launch on the iron side... So while it might feel good am shooting for Roddio first...

Da, I picked up the graphite for injury avoidanc too. Play frequently during the season and probably both earlier and later than I should. More than one occasion had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for my hands to recover on thinned shots. Also just the joint wear and tear... Played a lot of tennis as a kid so trying not to compound that damage... Have tried the Fuji Rombax, Crazy CBI 2, Tour Attas, and UST Tour SPX. So far Attas are tops. Also have 44 grams of weight in the butt end of my clubs to add weight without having to play rebar...

I have been wanting to try the Roddio for a long time now, just can't find blades I like that can have them… What do you think of them? Have on i8 in a 27* hybrid trimmed to an X and like that club a lot...
