  1. I have both. They are both great heads. Square set-up. 701 R is deeper-faced, shorter from heel to toe and front to back. 901 launches a little higher (may be the shaft; kai'li in 701R and EV7 in 901). You can't go wrong with either head with the right shaft. Two of the best-looking, cleanest heads around and both pop the **** out of the ball. As far as fade bias, I can't tell much diff between the two.
  2. R!

Good stuff, X. I'll second you. I have the 901 (Tour AD EV) and 701 R (Kai'li) and can't decide between the two. I just know I like them both better than any others I've had/hit. I'll stand by your opinion as well: no one else can touch TS drivers!!
  3. Probably not more than 2-3 degrees. Pretty flat sole, that's why I don't play 'em anymore.
  4. Sorry, Skull. I guess I was looking at the women's when I saw the size 5's.
  5. You can find smaller sizes at eccousa.com. They have 5-5.5 in some and I've bought several pairs in their size 40 (which is supposed to be 6-6.5 but fit more like 7's) Great shoes.
  6. LOVE the new Tourstage drivers. The 701 and 901 are LONG with the GD EV-6 shaft. Look great. Tried the Epon AF101 with a bunch of shafts, love the feel, just like the Tourstage look better along with the consistency. Get the right one (701 flies a tad higher than the 901) with the right shaft (again, LOVE the GD EV-6) and I think you'd be very pleased. Tried the TS's, Af-101, Yamaha, Taylormade TB TP, Titleist and nothing compared to the 09 TS drivers for me.
  7. Perfect. Thanks. Ordered a couple of them.
  8. I'd also like to know how they would compare to the EV-7 in a FW. Would like a little higher launch in my FW's than the EV-7 is giving me. Great dispersion though from the EV. And what color are they? Looks like B & W photos in the proshop. Not that color matters...
  9. I've been using a Tourstage 701 for a few months with the EV6 shaft. It's the longest, straightest shaft I've ever hit. Have to put a REALLY bad swing on it to hook it bad. Launches it pretty high with what seems like no spin. Best rollout I've had in a driver. Distance has gone up 8-10 yards on avg. (verified by Google Earth). And I've tried XCon 6, TP-7, Whiteboard, Blueboard. Didn't know much about Graphite Design until I started obsessing about equipment on this site but I'm totally sold on them now. Only GD I'd had until now was a YS-6 awhile back. Not crazy about it. LOVE these EV's. May try the SF for my fairway woods.
  10. They're still in my bag as well. AF Tours, 301's, and Miura baby blades are collecting dust. The combo of appearance, feel, sole grind, forgiveness and ballflight put it tops for me out if these. If you're thinking about these, I'd highly recommend them.
  11. I have a black and a white staff bag from 08 if you still want one. Both BARELY used. $200 for either. PM if interested.
  12. I'll take one. 9.5. Unbelievable.
  13. I have a set of the silver and the black. The silver is definitely softer. The black is harsher (relative) but sure look awfully good, especially when you have ball marks right in the center. Makes it easier to keep hitting it right in the sweet spot. They play the same, which, needless to say, is outstanding. Took me awhile to get used to the wider sole, finally did.
  14. Same here. I talked to Joe Kwok about it and he recommended not to do it. Says people have a tendency to go too far and get down to the steel, allowing rust. Be curious to see what Chris says, on sunny days these irons are blinding.
  15. I've been playing the 301's for awhile now after discovering this site and having my eyes opened about real quality golf clubs. When I started hearing about the AF Tours, I decided I HAD to have some of these. Always played blades, sometime only in the short irons, and wasn't all that impressed with my MP 67's. So I got a set of the Tours. Anyone who had questions about mixing 301's and AF Tours shouldn't worry about the diff. in lofts. The 301's have a lotta weight low in the head to get it up a little. What I didn't realize til I git the Tours is how much weight is high in the head. The head is actually thicker above the "swoosh" than below it. Took a few of the 301's and Tours out to the range and hit them side by side and saw almost no difference in distance, maybe a yard or two. I play to a 3 and iron play/distance control is the strength of my game. Gist of this is that I think you can mix a set of these two and not worry a bit about the lofts being different. BTW, shafts are the exact same in both, Nippon 1050GH. And the Tours are really forgiving up to about 1/2" toward the toe, which is where my misses usually are. GREAT irons and beautiful to boot.
